Following a thrilling winter, summer operations kick off soon at Heavenly Mountain Resort and Northstar California Resort. Heavenly will open early this year on Friday, May 23, while Northstar’s Golf Course and Bike Park are set to open June 5 and June 13, respectively, conditions permitting. Kirkwood Mountain Resort will begin summer activities as snow levels recede.

Winter isn’t over yet! With more than 2.5 feet of fresh snow blanketing the Tahoe region in the past week, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain Resort are extending their seasons by one full week, now set to close on Sunday, April 20. Heavenly Mountain Resort will close as originally scheduled on April 20, giving skiers and riders plenty of time to soak up prime spring conditions at all three resorts.

With a deep legacy of women in leadership and a growing demand for women’s programming, Northstar continues creating space for women to thrive in the mountains through leadership, progression, and community.

Through its partnership with SOS Outreach, Northstar helps parents of program participants share in the transformative joy of skiing and snowboarding for their first time, inspired by their children’s experiences.

Northstar set to welcome guests back early for another ski and ride season with endless experiences both on and off the mountain that everyone can enjoy.

Northstar California, Heavenly Mountain Resort, and Kirkwood Mountain Resort are looking ahead to the upcoming ski and ride season and are already planning for the snow to start falling. Northstar and Heavenly will open on Friday, November 22, with Kirkwood to follow on Friday, December 6, conditions allowing.

As the snow melts and temperatures rise, three iconic Tahoe resorts prepare to welcome guests back for another summer of fun-filled activities and events.

Heavenly and Northstar's parking programs were successful in mitigating congestion this season. Kirkwood will address similar challenges for the 2024/25 season.

Three of Lake Tahoe’s premier resorts are gearing up for another unforgettable season as they begin spinning their lifts and welcoming guests back for the 2023/24 ski and ride season with Heavenly Mountain Resort set to open November 21 with Northstar California to follow on Thursday, November 23. Kirkwood Mountain Resort is scheduled for December 1, conditions permitting.

Northstar California, Heavenly Mountain Resort, and Kirkwood Mountain Resort are making changes to their parking plans to tackle road congestion and parking challenges in the Lake Tahoe region.
