Media and Influencer Guidelines for a Hosted Experience on Resort

Journalists, influencers and content creators interested in experiencing our resorts first-hand, please contact us at

Journalists, please include in your email the resort(s) and date(s) of interest, story angle, news outlet and expected publication date. Preference will be given to journalists on assignment.

Influencers and content creators, please include in your email the resort(s) of interest, content angle, social media handles, and media kit. Preference will be given to individuals with confirmed content deliverables.

Complimentary Lift Tickets
Complimentary lift tickets may be issued to media on assignment or influencers with confirmed deliverables. We require that you make lift ticket requests at least two weeks in advance. Complimentary lift tickets are subject to availability.

Complimentary Lodging
Depending on availability, complimentary or discounted lodging may be issued to media who are on assignment and intend to write about lodging properties. Please contact us for this request at least four weeks in advance.

Holiday or Peak Periods
We do not offer complimentary lift tickets or host media or influencers during peak periods including, but not limited to, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Easter and Spring Break.

Filming and Photography
Filming and photo shoots require additional approvals, proof of insurance, and may require additional Forest Service permits. Please contact us at least four weeks in advance.

For safety reasons, recreational drone use by any guest or member of the public, for any reason, is not permitted on, or over, any of our properties. Likewise, commercial use is also prohibited on Vail Resorts' property, except in limited circumstances written permission from the resort and use associated with special events, marketing and/or film and photo applications. If you would like to use a drone, it is subject to approval by individual resorts, and may require Forest Service approval, as well. A drone license, flight plan, and other information may also be required for approval.

Commitment to Safety
We require all visiting media and influencers to abide by Vail Resorts safety protocols and procedures, as well as the NSAA Responsibility Code.
