Following a thrilling winter, summer operations kick off soon at Heavenly Mountain Resort and Northstar California Resort. Heavenly will open early this year on Friday, May 23, while Northstar’s Golf Course and Bike Park are set to open June 5 and June 13, respectively, conditions permitting. Kirkwood Mountain Resort will begin summer activities as snow levels recede.

Winter isn’t over yet! With more than 2.5 feet of fresh snow blanketing the Tahoe region in the past week, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain Resort are extending their seasons by one full week, now set to close on Sunday, April 20. Heavenly Mountain Resort will close as originally scheduled on April 20, giving skiers and riders plenty of time to soak up prime spring conditions at all three resorts.

Northstar California, Heavenly Mountain Resort, and Kirkwood Mountain Resort are looking ahead to the upcoming ski and ride season and are already planning for the snow to start falling. Northstar and Heavenly will open on Friday, November 22, with Kirkwood to follow on Friday, December 6, conditions allowing.

Based on the successes of Heavenly and Northstar’s reservations-based parking programs, Kirkwood will offer reservations on weekends and peak periods next year, with a combination of free, paid, and carpool options.Heavenly and Northstar's parking programs were successful in mitigating congestion this season. Kirkwood will address similar challenges for the 2024/25 season.
