Whistler, BC – May 14, 2026 – Summer arrives at Whistler Blackcomb Friday, May 15, with the official opening of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park (WMBP), followed by ultimate alpine experiences all summer long. It’s a season that promises to be unforgettable, featuring North America’s best summer event calendar and a variety of wellness, adventure, culinary, and family friendly experiences across both mountains.
 
At Whistler Mountain Bike Park  - North America’s largest - summer 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most significant seasons in the park’s history, highlighted by the 21st edition of Crankworx Whistler (July 24–August 2) and the inaugural 2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Downhill (September 25–27). The Bike Park officially opens on May 15 – a day affectionately known as Whismas - with the launch of the Fitzsimmons Zone. Throughout the season, riders can expect high‑energy programming including the Phat Wednesday race series, and the return of the BC Cup and Canada Cup, further cementing Whistler’s status as the global epicenter of mountain biking.

More Ultimate Summer Experiences at Whistler Blackcomb
At the heart of the summer season is the Summer Alpine Experience - a holistic sightseeing journey offering access to more than 50 kilometres of hiking trails, sweeping Coast Mountain views, lingering summer snow walls, wildflowers, ancient glaciers, and the record-breaking PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola.
  • Early summer access begins May 16 via the Whistler Village Gondola, with the PEAK 2 PEAK operating on weekends through June 12. The Blackcomb Gondola will open May 16-18.
  • Full summer offerings begin on June 13, including daily access to Whistler Village Gondola, Blackcomb Gondola and the PEAK 2 PEAK. Peak Express Chairlift and the Top of the World Summit, home to Cloudraker Skybridge and Raven’s Eye Lookout, will also open on June 13.
Tourism Whistler’s Nourish Wellness Series returns June 4–28 featuring expanded on‑mountain programming and more than 75 wellness experiences. Events take place in the Dome at Roundhouse Lodge on Whistler Mountain, and at The Lookout - a new popup venue on Blackcomb. Programming includes yoga and Pilates classes, guided meditations, sound baths, live music, speaker sessions, culinary workshops, stargazing, and more.
 
Guests can also look forward to the return of popular seasonal experiences, including the Celsius Mountain Top Movement Series, Mountain Top Summer Feast, Bear Viewing Tours, and the Family Adventure Zone. Other highlights include Whistler Farmer’s Market, Valley Bike Rentals, Ziptrek Ecotours, and a variety of activities from Canadian Wilderness Adventures to Mountain Skills Academy and Adventures.
 
Your Ticket to Ultimate Adventure
Summer Alpine Experience Passes and single-day lift tickets are available now, with early bird rates in effect through June 14. For mountain bikers, Whistler Mountain Bike Park Season Passes and lift tickets are also on sale, with additional perks available until May 17, and early bird pricing available through June 12.
 
Guests looking to make the most of their Whistler Blackcomb Bike Park experience can unlock significant savings by planning ahead. NEW for this summer, riders who book downhill bike rentals in advance for three or more days can save up to 35%. Those looking to explore the resort’s expansive path and trail network can save 20% by booking trail bikes online ahead of arrival. 2026/27 Epic Pass Holders receive an additional 20% off all bike rentals, making early planning the smartest first move of the summer season.
 
Guests are encouraged to secure their 2026/27 Epic Passes now at the lowest price before rates go up on May 25. Doing so will unlock access to the Summer Alpine Experience and exclusive summer benefits through Epic Mountain Rewards, including 20% off bike rentals, accommodations, and dining. Whistler Blackcomb Unlimited Pass and EDGE Card hHolders receive similar perks, including access to the Summer Alpine Experience, plus retail and lodging discounts.
