SHARED TERRITORIES: LIL’WAT NATION AND SQUAMISH NATION
Whistler Blackcomb operates on the unceded territories of the Lil'wat Nation and Squamish Nation, who have lived on these lands since time immemorial. Our team has deep gratitude for the opportunity to live and work in this beautiful place, colonially known as Whistler. This is a gift that is shared with both the Lil̓wat7úl and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh. We encourage all guests of the resort to visit our friends at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre this summer for an opportunity to respectfully learn about these lands, their people and culture.

GUIDED MOUNTAINTOP ADVENTURES AWAIT
Mountain Skills Academy & Adventures offers a variety of guided walks and hikes on Whistler Mountain, as well as rock climbing and glacier tours. Guests can choose from a variety of tours including:
-
Via Ferrata: Whistler’s ultimate mountaintop adventure! Challenge yourself to climb up a vertical pathway of steel rungs to the peak of Whistler Mountain. “Via Ferrata” is Italian for “Iron Way” and is a route with ladder-like rungs permanently fixed to the rock. You are securely harnessed to steel safety cables while you climb to the top of Whistler Peak! No climbing experience is needed, just moderate fitness. This is our top-rated tour. Don't miss it!
-
Crater Rim Hike: A scenic alpine hike that climbs quickly above the valley before easing into lush forest and opening onto a dramatic overlook of Logger’s Lake. Framed by volcanic rock walls and fed by warmer, non‑glacial waters, the lake is one of Whistler’s best spots for a refreshing swim. Multiple viewpoints along the trail showcase sweeping mountain scenery, making this a short hike with big rewards.
-
Rock Climbing: This very popular half-day tour is designed for individuals or groups looking for a fun-filled morning or afternoon of single pitch, top roped climbing. Our experienced guides will set everything up and provide helpful hints along the way. No climbing experience is necessary.
