PARK CITY, UT (June 27, 2019) – Summer is in full swing at Park City Mountain. Both base areas are now fully open for summer activities and the resort will kick off a jam-packed season of summer events next week with Independence Day celebrations on Wednesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 4 and the first summer concert at Canyons Village on Saturday, July 6. 3rd of July
Park City Mountain will host a 3rd of July Celebration and Fireworks Show at Canyons Village on Wednesday, July 3. Starting at 5 p.m., enjoy complimentary live music by DJ Velvet followed by Salt Lake City’s favorite party band, The Number Ones, and family activities in Canyons Village. The evening will cap off with a spectacular fireworks show at dusk, weather permitting. Please note, outside alcohol is not permitted, but food and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase in Canyons Village. More information here.
4th of July
Park City Mountain will host the annual 4th of July Celebration and City Fireworks Show at the Park City Mountain Village on Thursday, July 4. Join us for delicious BBQ, complimentary family activities and a live concert featuring two favorite local bands: Insatiable and The Soulistics. Events will kick off in the Park City Mountain Village at 3 p.m. following the annual 4th of July Parade down Historic Main Street. Fireworks are scheduled to go off at dusk, weather dependent. Summer Concert Series at Canyons Village, Saturday, July 6 – Thursday, August 29
Park City Mountain will host a series of fourteen live music concerts at Canyons Village on Thursday and Saturday evenings throughout the summer. Concerts begin on Saturday, July 6 on the Canyons Village stage and will feature performances from a mix of local, regional and national bands. Bands will play for approximately 90 minutes and guests are welcome to bring their own picnic, or enjoy food and libations at the Umbrella Bar, Murdock’s Café and The Farm Restaurant. This year’s performers include Blitzen Trapper on Saturday, August 3, The Honey Hounds on Saturday, August 17 and The Motet on Saturday, August 24. Music in the Park City Mountain Village
In addition to the summer concert series at Canyons Village, Park City Mountain will also host local live music acts every Saturday afternoon at the PayDay Pad at the Park City Mountain Village. Saturday afternoon live music will feature local and regional favorites including Brackish Creek, Christian Mills Band and Muddpuddle. Tour of Utah, Saturday, August 17
Returning this summer, Stage 5 of the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah will start and finish at the Canyons Village at Park City Mountain on Saturday, August 17. The Tour of Utah is a seven-day, world-class professional cycling race along the scenic byways of Utah and attracts worldwide attention as the top international cycling event that follows the Tour de France. As part of Stage 5, the Tour of Utah also offers a mass participation Gran Fondo – the Ultimate Challenge. The Ultimate Challenge will follow the roads that the pros will tackle on the final day of the seven-day stage race. The 93-mile Ultimate Challenge long route will include 8,300 feet of elevation gain and two major climbs. A shorter 43-mile option is also available with 2,080 feet of climbing. For the first time, both the start and the finish will take place at Canyons Village at Park City Mountain complete with a post-race concert, lifestyle expo and kids’ activities. Oktoberfest, Friday, August 30 – Sunday, Sept. 1
Over Labor Day weekend, Canyons Village at Park City Mountain will transform itself into a mini-Munich to celebrate Oktoberfest, the German festival that is now a worldwide phenomenon celebrating Bavarian culture. The family-friendly event will kick off Friday, August 30 with the official opening ceremonies, followed by a weekend of celebration. The festivities will overtake Canyons Village as guests dressed in traditional dress enjoy the Bavarian celebration. Guests will be invited to enjoy German beer in the Bavarian Beer Hall, explore authentic fare in the Bavarian Market, listen to Oompah and Polka music, participate in traditional dance and stein lifting competitions, enjoy the Kinder Kids’ Zone and much more.
