Vail Resorts Reopens Registration for Popular Epic SchoolKids Program Offering Free Skiing and Riding For All Colorado’s Kindergarten Through Fifth Grade School Kids
  • Benefits include four complimentary days of skiing and riding at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone, respectively, for the 2015-16 winter season – that’s 16 days free per student
  • Participants receive one complimentary full-day beginner lesson, including equipment rental, during the month of January, during Learn to Ski & Ride Month
BROOMFIELD, Colo. – Aug. 11, 2015 – Vail Resorts today announced the company is reopening registration for its popular Epic SchoolKids program on Monday, Aug. 17, 2015. Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack provides Colorado kindergarteners through fifth graders with four days of free skiing and riding at each of the best resorts in their backyard – Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone. In addition to 16 free days of skiing and riding, Epic SchoolKids also get the opportunity to hone their skills at the ivy league of ski schools with a free full-day beginner lesson and equipment rental at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge or Keystone in the month of January, outside of holiday periods, as part of Learn to Ski & Ride Month.

Vail Resorts originally launched this program in the spring and it was quickly adopted by Colorado families. By re-launching registration for the fall, Vail Resorts is giving even more kids a chance to enjoy the thrill of skiing and snowboarding in the Rocky Mountains.

“We’ve heard loud and clear that Colorado parents want their kids to have access to the mountains and the many benefits of snowsports,” said Kirsten Lynch, chief marketing officer of Vail Resorts. “Demand has been great for Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack and we feel we can connect more kids to skiing and snowboarding in our communities across our state. As a result, we’re reopening the registration so more Colorado kids can participate.”

Eligible Epic SchoolKids simply need to bring their mom, dad or guardian to participating Front Range Colorado Ski & Golf, Colorado Ski & Sport and Boulder Ski Deals locations to register for an Epic SchoolKids Pack, beginning Monday, Aug. 17, through Oct. 11, 2015. Epic SchoolKids must present a copy of their report card, school ID or birth certificate, as well as a photo for their pass. A parent or guardian will be asked to sign a release, and then the Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack will be delivered via mail.

Holiday restrictions apply to the ski days, as well as the lesson and equipment rental. To learn more about the program, visit epicschoolkids.com/colorado.
