Vail Resorts Launches End-of-Season Special EpicMix Package to Capture your Entire Season for only $0.99 per Photo

Company gives guests access to all their high-resolution professional photos from the entire 2011-2012 season

BROOMFIELD, Colo, March 16, 2012 — There’s nothing more valuable than a photo to remember a special day, milestone or epic vacation. Vail Resorts (NYSE:MTN) is celebrating the end of the season by offering guests of Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly and Northstar the opportunity to access all of their EpicMix high-resolution on-mountain professional photos or EpicMix collages from the entire 2011-2012 ski and snowboard season. In addition, guests can purchase a package of 20 high-resolution photos or collages for $19.80 or just $0.99 per image. The offer is only valid through May 31, 2012.

When Vail Resorts added on-mountain photos to the Company’s award-winning EpicMix online site and app for this season, experts predicted that it would revolutionize how guests take and share photos. So far this season, EpicMix has generated more than 1.5 million guest posts on Facebook and Twitter, with almost half including photos.

EpicMix was designed to allow guests to capture their on-mountain experience including days skied and vertical feet, digital pins they earned for on-mountain achievements, and professional action and still photos.  These accomplishments and special memories are all delivered to the guests’ EpicMix account by scanning their RF-enabled lift ticket or season pass. From there, guests are able to share the photos on Facebook and Twitter and purchase a high-resolution digital download.

“Photos are one of the most powerful ways that people remember and share their special moments and vacations and we’re seeing our guests take advantage of this new way to tell their own story in their own words, with their own stats and now with their own professional photos,” said Rob Katz, chairman and chief executive officer of Vail Resorts. “As of today, we’re giving them an opportunity to purchase a keepsake at an unheard of price that they can print and share at their favorite photo store to use for a framed photo at their desk or even to use for next year’s holiday cards.”

According to Katz, EpicMix offers a truly unique experience that isn’t available at any other ski mountain or other resort destination.

How to get and access EpicMix
EpicMix is available to all Vail Resorts guests who purchase a lift ticket or season pass this year. Almost every ticket and pass is enabled with RF technology which allows guests to participate in EpicMix and the new photo functionality.

Once guests get their RF-enabled pass or lift ticket, they can simply log on to www.epicmix.com and activate their EpicMix accounts. They can then download the free EpicMix mobile app for the iPhone, Android or other smart phone. Even guests who visited earlier in the 2011-2012 season can still view and purchase their EpicMix photos, as well as join EpicMix to view their stats, share their on-mountain accomplishments with friends and family and relive their special memories

Vail Resorts is providing an added incentive for guests to join EpicMix. Guests who activate their account by April 15, 2012 will be entered into a vacation giveaway for the 2012-2013 winter season. One guest will be chosen at random to win a trip for four that includes airfare, lodging, lift tickets and more. Visit www.epicmix.com/prizes.

For skiers and snowboarders looking ahead to next season, Vail Resorts is offering the best value in the industry for season passes. At $659, the Epic Pass provides unlimited, unrestricted skiing and snowboarding at all six Vail Resort mountains plus its soon-to-be acquired seventh resort, Kirkwood, in addition to Arapahoe Basin. The Epic Pass and other season pass deals are available at www.epicpass.com.
