Hyatt Place Keystone, the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Keystone, Colo., is officially open. The new hotel features the Hyatt Place brand’s intuitive design, casual atmosphere and practical amenities, such as free Wi-Fi and 24-hour food offerings. Hyatt Place Keystone is owned by Realty Capital Partners and operated by Vail Resorts.

Today, Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) announced that Chief Executive Officer Rob Katz and his wife, Elana Amsterdam, have decided that the initial focus for their recently announced charitable fund will be on mental health issues in the Company’s local communities. Katz and Amsterdam created the new charitable fund in October 2017 with funding of approximately $58 million.

Both Breckenridge Ski Resort and Keystone Resort continue to expand terrain, as each resort has opened additional trails every week since Opening Day. Both resorts are offering top-to-bottom skiing and snowboarding across multiple peaks prior to the holidays, and will be adding more terrain heading into this weekend. This morning, a brief burst of snow quickly brought two inches of snow to both resorts with additional snow in the forecast through the weekend.

The Arrabelle at Vail Square, A RockResort, will celebrate the property’s 10th anniversary on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017. The public celebration in Lionshead Village will include an ice skating show, live music and an ice carving exhibition. Following the outdoor event, a 10th anniversary celebration dinner will take place inside the hotel.
