Beaver Creek’s 11th Annual Rodeo Series Returns Thursday, June 28
·         New Free Family Movie in Beaver Creek  After Rodeo

Beaver Creek, Colo. - June 22, 2012 –The Beaver Creek Rodeo Series returns for its 11th season Thursday, June 28, 2012. Dust off your cowboy boots and experience the spirit of the Old West at the resort’s family friendly hoedown held every Thursday night through Aug. 16. Dates for this year’s rodeo series include June 28, July 5, 12 and 19 and Aug. 2, 9 and 16. 
 
The full lineup of classic rodeo events includes bronc riding, calf scramble, team roping, mutton bustin’, barrel racing, bull riding and burro racing. Gates open at 5 p.m. so bring the whole family out for pre-event activities including pony rides, face painting, mechanical bull rides, western fare and a wide range of barbecue offered by local restaurants.
 
Rodeo tickets may be purchased at the Beaver Creek Information Center up to 3 p.m. on the day of the rodeo or onsite at the rodeo beginning at 5 p.m. The rodeo takes place rain or shine, and tickets are therefore non-refundable. Ticket pricing is as follows:
 
VIP: $25
General Admission: $20
Seniors (65+): $15
Youth (13-17): $10
Kids (12 & Under): Free
 
Registration to compete in the rodeo begins at 5 p.m. on the day of the event at the information tent inside the gates. Children may sign up for mutton bustin' and the calf scramble each Thursday night and adults ages 18 and older may register a team of three to compete in the burro racing competition.

Located in Avon behind Chapel Square at Traer Creek, free shuttle service to the rodeo is available from the Covered Bridge in Beaver Creek Village.Shuttles run continuously from 5 to 9 p.m. Free parking is available directly across the street from the rodeo grounds, with a one-minute walk to the site.  Alcoholic beverages, pets, and glass containers cannot be brought onto the rodeo grounds.

Family Movies
Wrangle up the family after the Rodeo for Free Family Movieson the lawn back up in Beaver Creek. As the sun sets across the valley, lay out your blankets and settle in for a fun, family-friendly film. The movies will start at dark on the back lawn by McCoy's (approximately 8:30pm). Concessions will be available. Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs. Please leave your alcohol and pets at home.
