Country Stars Charlie Worsham and Sunny Sweeney Star in Beaver Creek this Independence Day
Beaver Creek, Colo., June 29, 2015 – This year’s annual Independence Day celebration in Beaver Creek will be full of energy from 12 p.m. through the evening, on Saturday, July 4. Four musical acts including country stars Charlie Worsham and Sunny Sweeney will take the stage, the Stars, Stripes & Slides festivities will include inflatable castles and slides for kids, and food and drinks will fill the appetites for friends and families alike before the big nighttime fireworks display.

“If you’re looking for a fun-filled day with family and friends, Beaver Creek offers the ideal Independence Day celebration on the back lawn of Beaver Creek Village with big musical acts and a large and complimentary family fun zone among our beautiful mountain setting,” said Jen Brown, managing director of Beaver Creek Resort Company.  “The celebrations leading up to the fireworks start at 12 p.m. and guests will truly enjoy the daytime events and then end the night with our annual fireworks show.”

Once noon hits, the gates are open for Stars, Stripes & Slides where games, free slides, bounce houses, face painting, Arts & Crafts and more are available until 5 p.m. on the grass by Centennial Express Lift. Denver-based, rock group, Rob Drabkin, takes the stage at 2 p.m., where Rob’s powerful voice is complemented perfectly with his guitar and band. Crow Moses out of Chicago combines hard-rocking Americana with lonesome folk tunes. His songs are picturesque and his mid-western harmonies make you want to sing along to his performance which begins at 4 p.m. Sunny Sweeney from Houston takes over at 6 p.m. and is true to her Texas roots. With hits like ‘From a Table Away’ and ‘Staying’s Worse than Leaving’, concert goers will love her voice and guitar playing. Charlie Worsham then headlines the music acts at 8 p.m. Rising from Grenada, Mississippi, and signed by Warner Bros. Records, Charlie has shared stages with Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert and country fans will recognize his famous hits, ‘Could It Be’ and ‘Want Me Too’. As a singer, songwriter, guitarist and aficionado of many instruments, he is a highly entertaining stage performer. To end the night, the fireworks display will light up the sky at 9:30 p.m.
