This winter season, Kindred Resort ushers in a new era of hospitality at Keystone, introducing a luxury alpine retreat rooted in its distinctive "Campfire Luxury" atmosphere. Located at the base of River Run Village just steps from the River Run Gondola, Kindred combines sophisticated accommodations with unparalleled convenience, serving as home to the Epic Mountain rental shop and award-winning Ski & Ride School. What's New at Keystone Resort? 

Kindred Resort Brings Luxury Lodging to Keystone 

Guests can now experience Keystone Resort in a new, elevated way with the addition of Kindred Resort, Keystone's first luxury hotel and residence, and the newest property in the RockResorts® collection. The ski-in/ski-out development transforms the base of River Run Village with refined accommodations, dining options, wellness amenities, and seamless access to the slopes.  

 

Highlights include: 

  • 107 boutique hotel guest rooms and 95 luxury residences.  

  • Multiple dining experiences, including Kindred Spirits, Lula's Restaurant, The Goodz Tavern, and Kinji Sushi.  

  • A year-round heated outdoor pool oversized hot tubs, fitness center, and spa.  

  • More than 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space.  

  • Signature "Campfire Luxury" programming centered around connection and Colorado’s high-alpine history.  

The arrival of Kindred Resort marks a major milestone in Keystone's evolution, providing guests with an upscale slopeside basecamp while enhancing the vibrancy of River Run Village.  

Keystone Resorts Announces New Brand Campaign: Lifetime of Firsts  

Lifetime of Firsts celebrates everything from a first ski lesson and a family's first time visiting the Dercum Peak Mountaintop Snow Fort to a skier's first black diamond powder turns in Bergman Bowl or a first run through the famed A51 terrain park. Rather than focusing on a single visit, the campaign celebrates the role Keystone plays in a guests’ lifetime of accomplishment at the Resort, creating memories that continue across generations.  

 

What's the Perfect "Lifetime of Firsts" Three-Day, Two-Night Itinerary?  

For guests with a long weekend, this two-night, three-day itinerary pairs what's new at Keystone with what people have loved for decades. 

Day 1: First Arrival, First Turns 

Morning 

  • Check into Kindred Resort and enjoy a la carte breakfast at Lulu’s Restaurant. Epic Mountain Express, or complimentary valet will help ensure a seamless arrival. 

  • Pick up equipment from Epic Mountain Rentals, conveniently located at the bottom level of Kindred Resort and just steps from the River Run Gondola.  

Afternoon 

  • Head to the slopes for your first turns of the trip. 

  • Explore the wide-open groomers of Dercum Mountain and take in sweeping views of the Continental Divide while you grab lunch at Summit House 

  • Enjoy après in at 9280 in the River Run Village, featuring a wide range of local brews.  

Evening 

  • Have dinner at one of Kindred's dining venues: Kindred Spirits, Lula's Restaurant, The Goodz Tavern, or Kinji Sushi.  

  • Gather around Kindred's outdoor fire pits and embrace the resort's "Campfire Luxury" experience with s’mores and storytelling.  

Day 2: First Progression, First Night Ski 

Morning 

  • Start the day with a lesson at Keystone's remodeled Ski & Ride School, located at the base of Kindred Resort and adjacent to the River Run Gondola.  

  • Progress in confidence and skill with one of Keystone's instructors. Custom lesson experiences are available for those looking to get on the snow for the first time or for guests perfecting their edge.  

Afternoon 

  • Continue exploring Keystone's three-peak mountain experience across beginner-friendly terrain, including one the longest Greens in North America, Schoolmarm, to long intermediate cruisers and advanced bowl cliffs to glades below.  

Evening 

  • As the sun sets, continue making turns under the lights on Keystone's illuminated trails, creating another memorable "first" that few Colorado ski resorts can offer. 

  • Treat oneself to dinner at the Ski Tip Lodge and Restaurant, an 1800s stagecoach stop now serving nationally acclaimed cuisine in an intimate and timeless setting.  

  • Relax afterward in Kindred Resort’s year-round heated pool or oversized hot tubs.  

Day 3: A Lifetime of Tradition Begins 

Morning 

  • Delight in a leisurely breakfast at the Lakeside Café and loop around the beautiful Lake Village before heading out for a final, but not last, morning on the mountain. 

  • Capture a family photo in front of the Bergman Bowl sign. 

Afternoon 

  • Depart Keystone with a collection of meaningful first-time memories that will serve as the foundation for a lifelong mountain tradition.
