Heavenly Mountain 2024-2025 Winter Tip Sheet

Heavenly sits in two states nestled within the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, providing a one-of-a-kind skiing experience where its iconic, breathtaking views are met with unbeatable fun. Tahoe is Heavenly, and you’ll certainly feel it while skiing or riding the Sierras and absorbing views of Lake Tahoe’s deep blue, high alpine water. Whether you are taking in the unbelievable panoramic views of Lake Tahoe on the California side, or seeing the Carson Valley extend for miles on the Nevada side, you are sure to have your breath taken away. With nearly 5,000 acres of skiable terrain and 97 trails ranging from groomers to chutes, and an array of events that keep excitement high throughout the winter, you won't get bored exploring the mountain’s wide breadth of offerings. The energy continues in the vibrant Lake Tahoe community, where après-ski and entertainment options abound. Heavenly isn’t just a place to ski and ride – it’s a destination where both the otherworldly beauty and adventure collide with nonstop fun.

Diverse Terrain: Terrain for all skiers and riders can be found across the mountain at Heavenly. From world-class glades that will challenge those who are more advanced as they float through secret stashes, to intermediate groomers that can be carved with Lake Tahoe on the horizon, the terrain at Heavenly will satisfy your appetite, no matter what you like to ski or ride.

All Within Reach: The resort offers a wide range of experiences on-and-off the mountain, with Heavenly Village sitting in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, surrounded by snow-based activities, restaurants, and events throughout the winter season. If the views of Lake Tahoe inspire you on the slopes, a trip to the shore is just minutes away.

Food and Beverage: Skiing in two states can make you hungry! This year, California Lodge introduces Golden State Kitchen, offering a refreshed food and beverage experience. The new menu features California Cuisine with healthier fare, re-envisioning traditional ski resort lodge food. Indulge your tastebuds and check out the fresh fare, or find comfort in your favorite resort food and drink options at any of the following locations:

  • Lakeview Lodge
  • Stein’s
  • Sky Deck
  • Tamarack Lodge
  • East Peak Lodge
  • Boulder Lodge
  • Stagecoach Lodge

Parking: Heavenly will continue implementing a reservation-based paid parking program at the California Base Area on weekends and peak periods. Stagecoach and Boulder lots will remain free seven days a week. For more information, visit the “Getting Here and Parking” page on our website.

EpicPromise Commitment to Zero: Heavenly is participating in the City of South Lake Tahoe’s single-use plastic bottle ban to help eliminate the use of single-use plastic bottles at the for the upcoming ski and ride season. All Pepsi products will transition from plastic bottles to aluminum bottles to reduce our environmental footprint.

Special Events

Brews and Views: Brews and Views is an après experience overlooking unbeatable views of Lake Tahoe at Lakeview Lodge with food, beverage, and music. This season, we’re bringing it back and adding more beer sampling, more live music, and more opportunity to experience après the way it should be. Soak in the Brews and Views and keep an eye out for some breweries that may join in on the fun with tastings and offerings!

Toyota Air and Après: Back for its third season, Air and Après is a thrilling big-air event at the base of the World Cup. Skilled athletes demonstrate gravity-defying stunts on a 45-foot jump with Heavenly Mountain as the canvas for a lightshow. This season, Air and Après is set to expand to a three-day event, tentatively set for March 1-3, featuring a Village offering an array of vendors, food, and beverage.

DJ Cat: Party with your friends as rotating guest DJs play some of your favorite songs out of a snowcat on the mountain. Your dance moves always look better in ski boots!

Heavenly Holidays: Join us to celebrate the holidays in style! In December, our resort partners with Heavenly Village to create activities the whole family will love, including skiing with Santa, an ice sculpting contest, tree lighting, live music, and more!

Spring Loaded Series: There is nothing quite like spring skiing at Heavenly, and we make the most of it. This event series includes Gunbarrel 25, where skiers lap Heavenly’s iconic mogul run 25 times in this long-standing tradition, plus a Pond Skim. These competitions are designed to highlight the fun-loving, adventure-seeking vibe that epitomizes spring skiing in Tahoe.
