Breckenridge Ski Resort kicks off the summer season with the return of Epic Discovery and the opening of the BreckConnect Gondola on Friday, June 18, offering scenic, family-friendly and thrill-seeking outdoor activities. This weekend summer on-mountain adventures start at Peak 8 Base Camp, with all open activities accessible via the free BreckConnect Gondola from town.

With on-going mountain preparations for summer, more activities are anticipated to open ahead of the Fourth of July holiday weekend, including scenic rides and bike hauls on the Colorado SuperChair, and activities at Alpine Camp including the Gold Summit Climbing Wall and the Alpineer Challenge Course. Due to construction of the new chairlift on Peak 7, the Expedition Zipline Tour will not be available this summer.
Breck’s Epic Discovery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, June 18 through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6, with an additional weekend of activities offered Friday-Sunday, Sept. 10-12.
In a partnership with The Nature Conservancy, 1% of all Epic Discovery ticket sales help to fund the organization’s local forest and habitat restoration projects.

Offering a variety of summer activities, including classic favorites like the Alpine Slide and Gold Runner Coaster, Peak 8 Basecamp is the first stop on everyone’s Epic Discovery journey. Anticipated to open ahead of the Fourth of July holiday weekend, Alpine Camp at Epic Discovery is located just steps from the top of the Colorado SuperChair offering breathtaking views and the opportunity for high alpine adventure at 11,000 feet above sea-level. The heart of Epic Discovery’s newest activities, Alpine Camp features the Alpineer Challenge Course, Gold Summit Climbing Wall, Interpretive Hiking Loop and the Vista Point Overlook Tower.
