Beaver Creek, Colo., June 12, 2018 – Escape to Beaver Creek in the height of summer for our renowned Independence Day celebration. This year’s annual Independence Day Celebration will be full of energy from 12 p.m. through the evening, on Wednesday, July 4. Three musical acts including country star Walker Hayes will take the stage. For all of its big, celebratory fun, our 4th of July celebration maintains the thoughtful touches and friendly intimacy that make Beaver Creek an unparalleled destination. Our alpine village provides a beautiful and contained setting perfectly suited to this family friendly event, which includes live music, complimentary kids’ activities, incredible food and endless opportunities for mountain adventure. The day culminates in a performance by country music star Walker Hayes and an evening fireworks display that lights up the Rocky Mountains. Walker Hayes
Breakout country star Walker Hayes headlines the Independence Day Celebration at 8:15 p.m., followed by a fireworks show illuminating the village. Hayes’ debut album, Boom, features the hit song “You Broke Up with Me.”
Delta Rae
Music continues at 6 p.m. with Delta Rae. Headlining over 100 shows each year and a regular on the festival circuit since forming in 2009, Delta Rae’s larger-than-life performances have earned coveted spots at Bonnaroo, Tortuga Music Festival, Austin City Limits, Firefly, Bumbershoot, Summerfest, Hangout Fest, Kaaboo, Basilica, VOODOO, and Lollapalooza.
Erika Wennerstrom
Erika Wennerstrom commences the day’s live musical performances at 4 p.m. in Centennial Park. Wennerstrom, taking a break from her Austin-based rock band, The Heartless Bastards, delivers her solo debut Sweet Unknown.
Kids’ Zones - All Day Long!
Stars, Stripes & Slides is located on the back lawn in front of the Beaver Creek Chophouse and will be open on Wednesday, July 4 from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Bouncy castles, obstacle courses, giant slides and many more; there will be inflatables for the tots too! These are free to the public, but please make sure Mom or Dad accompany the kids – waivers are required.
The Independence Day Celebration doesn’t end there –another’ Kids’ Zone will be open from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. just off the main plaza, at the top of the main water fountain in front of Ford Hall. The’ Kids’ Zone will include carnival games, face painting, arts and crafts, and more. All activities in this zone are free.
If you’re looking for activities for the young ones prior to 12:00pm on the 4th, the Summer Adventure Center is open from 9:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., and their paid activities include: Gem Panning, Ropes Course, Bungee Trampolines, Climbing Wall, and Mini Golf. These activities will require an additional waiver signed by a parent/guardian. VIP Experience
An upgraded VIP Experience is available for the Independence Day Celebration at Beaver Creek. The VIP Experience includes access to the White Carpet Club, a private retreat in the heart of Beaver Creek Village, from 12 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. White Carpet Club access includes a lounge area, private locker space, and private restrooms. Complimentary VIP parking, cold drinks, light snacks, private kids’ activities from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m., and a commemorative picnic blanket are included in ticket cost. Tickets are $260 for a family of four and can be purchased beginning on Friday June 15th by calling the White Carpet Club at 970-754-6653. Please call to inquire about adding additional family members to the reservation. A limited amount of tickets are available.

Dog-friendly Areas
During summer festivals at Beaver Creek, leashed dogs are permitted in designated dog-friendly areas, outside of festival boundaries. Dog-friendly areas include Creekside Park, on-mountain hiking trails, and Beaver Creek access road pathway.
