Thanks to the nearly two feet of snow that has fallen on Breckenridge Ski Resort in the last week, the resort is excited to announce that the Imperial Express SuperChair, the highest chairlift in North America, is now open. Breck currently has 80 percent of terrain open, including more than 120 trails and 2,300 acres across all five peaks.
The Imperial Express SuperChair tops out at 12,840 feet after a quick 2.7 minute ride to the top of Imperial Bowl. The chairlift offers easy access to three high-alpine bowls and hike-to access to the renowned Lake Chutes, Snow White, Whale’s Tail and Peak 7 Bowl areas. Skiers and snowboarders can currently access terrain in Imperial Bowl, Imperial Ridge and the majority of the high alpine terrain on Peak 7 via the Imperial Express SuperChair.
Breck’s mountain operations teams will continue to work towards opening the remainder of the resort’s terrain, including more of the resort’s famed hike-to terrain, after additional natural snowfall. More snow is in the forecast at Breckenridge for this weekend!
