Summer Festivals, Live Music, and Rodeo Provide Fun for the Family at Beaver Creek
  • Beaver Creek kicks off summer with Blues, Brews & BBQ & Microbrew Festival May 27-28
  • Beaver Creek Rodeo commences for the 16th year on Thursday starting June 22
  • VPAC Summer Series begins on July 3 with Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers

Beaver Creek, Colo., May 18, 2017 – Beaver Creek marks the unofficial start to summer with Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival where top Colorado chefs serve up tangy barbeque, the North Mississippi Allstars bring lives blues to the village stage, and the Microbrew Festival pours more than 80 craft brews during Memorial Day Weekend. Beaver Creek’s summer festivals, live music, and activities provide fun for the entire family, all summer long. From the action-packed Beaver Creek Rodeo Series to world-class performances at VPAC, there is something for everyone to enjoy during the summer season. Revisit a tradition such as the 11th Annual Beaver Creek Wine & Spirits Festival, or experience the inaugural Hike to the Mic fall music and arts festival.
 
May 27 – 28                         Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival
Top Colorado barbeque chefs reach for their top-shelf ingredients, recipes and techniques to barbeque, smoke and roast succulent Colorado meats, poultry and summer vegetables to pair with cold, thirst-quenching craft brews at the 14h Annual Beaver Creek Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival. Other event highlights – such as the Backyard Barbecue Competition, People’s Choice Awards Celebration and the Kids’ Fun Zone – deem Blues, Brews & Barbecue an annual tradition not to miss. May 27                                  Beaver Creek Microbrew Festival
As one of the largest, exclusively-Colorado microbrewery beer tastings in the state, Beaver Creek Microbrew Festival features more than 80 artisan recipes from more than 30 Colorado-based breweries. Aficionados savor new brews and summer classics from Rocky Mountain favorites – such as Breckenridge Brewery, Crazy Mountain, Pug Ryan’s, Upslope, Vail Brewing Company, and 7 Hermits Brewing Companies. The Microbrew Festival is hosted on the expansive lawns of Centennial Park adjacent to the Buckaroo Express Gondola in the Beaver Creek Village. Tickets are required. Photos

Mark your calendar - Beaver Creek’s Summer Festival Schedule
July 4                                    Independence Day Celebration
 Beaver Creek Resort invites guests to the quintessential Independence Day celebration in the mountains. July 4 festivities begin at noon with children’s Stars, Stripes & Slides activities, such as inflatable castles, slides and games; and Beaver Creek Adventure Center fun, including the Bungee Trampoline, miniature golf, gem panning and climbing walls. Mountain adventure beckons with horseback riding, scenic chair lift rides, hiking and biking throughout the day. Multiple musical performances take to the Centennial Park Stage from 2 – 9:30 p.m. and invite guests of all ages to find their holiday groove. Beaver Creek Fireworks ignite the sky at 9:30 p.m. over the Beaver Creek Village offering spectators an unobstructed view. Photos 

August 10 - 13                    11th Annual Beaver Creek Wine & Spirits Festival Presented by Wine Spectator
Combining Beaver Creek’s renowned culinary talent, exclusive wines and outdoor venues, the Beaver Creek Wine & Spirits Festival is an ode to the resort’s distinguished echelon of executive chefs, penchant for culinary mastery and enjoyment of superb cuisine among the rustic elegance of the Rocky Mountains. Guests are invited to enjoy a full weekend of events throughout the resort – such as the 4x4 Jeep Tour on Beaver Creek Mountain, pairing seminars, wine dinners and the Grand Tasting. Photos

September 2-3                   18th Annual Beaver Creek Oktoberfest
Unique for ties to its sister city of Lech-Zurs in Austria, Beaver Creek reveals the resort’s authentic spirit and European roots during the 18th Annual Beaver Creek Oktoberfest. Live musical performances from Austria’s Trachtenkapelle and the Helmut Fricker Band are true nods to Beaver Creek’s heritage. Festive energy, music, and cheer permeate the Beaver Creek Village throughout the weekend, as do the savory aromas of bratwurst and hops. Festival guests heft commemorative artisan Beaver Creek Oktoberfest beer steins and sing along with newfound friends donning hand-crafted lederhosen and dirndls. September 15 – 17            Hike to the Mic
2017 marks the inaugural Beaver Creek Hike to the Mic – a one-of-a-kind music destination, perched high atop Beaver Creek's Centennial Express Chairlift, complete with a sweeping panorama of the surrounding mountain ranges. The only thing more unique than the setting is the journey. Arrive at a lofty 10,200 feet on our pristine hiking and biking paths or kick your adventure up a notch with a 4x4 jeep tour. Not in the market for an adventure? Just hop on the Centennial Express Combination Lift for a scenic ride to the venue. No matter how you arrive, you’ll be treated to incredible views. But for those who choose to hike, we’ve added a little extra inspiration along the way. The official Hike to the Mic trail will feature art installations and photo ops, influenced by the natural setting, tucked away in various locations along the journey. The festivities continue all weekend long in Beaver Creek Village with art exhibitions, restaurant specials, live music, outdoor yoga, shopping and more. Artist announcement coming soon!

Dog-friendly Areas
During summer festivals at Beaver Creek, leashed dogs are permitted in designated dog-friendly areas, outside of festival boundaries. Mountain Luxury Meets Unbridled Action at 16th Annual Beaver Creek Rodeo Series
 A bona fide summer rite of passage, the Beaver Creek Rodeo Series presented by the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa invites brave participants and even the most sophisticated of spectators to cut loose with 100 percent wild abandon each Thursday beginning June 22. Featuring professional bronc and bull riding as well as fun, participant-friendly events for all ages – such as the calf scramble, “mutton bustin’” kids’ sheep ride, and all-ages team burro race – the Rodeo unquestionably delivers an action-packed evening in the Colorado Rocky Mountains not to miss. July 3                                    Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers
Bruce Hornsby has built one of the most diverse, collaborative and adventurous careers in contemporary music. Drawing from a vast wellspring of American musical traditions, the singer/pianist/composer/bandleader has created a large and accomplished body of work and employed a vast array of stylistic approaches.

July 5                                    The Wailers
The Wailers Band put reggae on the map. More so than any other set of musicians on the planet, The Wailers Band brought reggae to the attention of the world outside of Jamaica. Through the concerted musical support they supplied during the 1970s, The Wailers Band helped elevate Bob Marley to achieve the status of the first “Third World Superstar,” and in the process, brought the reggae of their native Jamaica to audiences on every continent.

July 15                                  Lord Huron
Ancient memories, smoke over the moon and nights full of perilous laughter all bolstered the brew from which Lord Huron emerged. An American indie folk band released debut album in 2012, Lonesome Dreams, followed by Strange Trails in 2015.
 
July 19                                  Diana Krall
Diana Krall has garnered five Grammy Awards, eight Juno Awards and has also earned nine gold, three platinum and seven multi-platinum albums. Krall’s unique artistry transcends any single musical style and has made her one of the most recognizable artists of our time.
 
July 24                                  Trace Adkins
"Trace Adkins’ trademark baritone has powered countless hits to the top of the charts and sold over 10 million albums, cumulatively. His hit list includes “You're Gonna Miss This,” “Ladies Love Country Boys,” “Songs About Me,” “Every Light In The House,” “Hillbilly Bone (Blake Shelton & Trace Adkins),” and “Just Fishin’,” to name a few.

July 29                                  Creedence Clearwater Revisited
Creedence Clearwater Revival founding members and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Stu Cook and Doug “Cosmo” Clifford have been on quite a ride. Following their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cosmo and Stu launched their Creedence Clearwater Revisited project in 1995 to once again perform live in concert with all their hit songs!

August 1                              Peter Frampton
Peter Frampton remains one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. His session work includes collaborations with such legendary artists as George Harrison, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ringo Starr, John Entwistle and many others. Frampton was recently inducted in the Musicians Hall of Fame.

August 6                              Citizen Cope
Dug deep into the rich soil of American music, Citizen Cope’s roots are complex. You may think of Bill Withers or Neil Young or John Lee Hooker or Van Morrison or Willie Nelson or Al Green. His sounds are southern rural, big sky lonely, concrete urban, and painfully romantic.

August 11                            Comedian David Spade
Comedian David Spade became a household favorite during his 5 year stint as a cast member of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” Recently Spade released his memoir, “Almost Interesting.” Spade has appeared in and written many cult classic films including Tommy Boy, Blacksheep, Coneheads, Joe Dirt, Grown Ups, Reality Bites, Benchwarmers, Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star to name a few.
 
August 26                            The Purple Xperience: Tribute to Prince
The Purple Xperience is a five-piece tribute band who embody the spirit and sounds of Prince, with front-man Marshall Charloff channeling the vocals and movements from the icon himself. The Purple Xperience brings you the greatest most authentic prince tribute show in the world leaving no one disappointed.

August 31                            Surprise Guest TBA July 17
We can't say just yet who the artist is but we can say this is one show you won't want to miss! Tickets will go on sale July 17th. Hint: We've had them before and they are incredibly talented... and always put on a high energy show.
