Keystone, Colo. — May 9, 2017 — On Friday, May 12, The River Course at Keystone Resort opens with a full 18 holes of golf available. Named by Golf Digest 2016 Editors’ Choice as one of the five best golf resorts in the Rockies/Great Plains, Keystone boasts a beautiful 36-hole golf facility with two authentic and distinct courses in one idyllic Rocky Mountain setting. Following the opening of The River Course, the Keystone Ranch Golf Course will open on Friday, May 26.
The River Course brings an element of drama to the game, featuring magnificent views, impressive elevations changes, variable bunkers, water hazards and six sets of tees on each hole to challenge golfers of all abilities. Designed by Hurdzan-Fry, this par 71 course will be open May 12 to October 8. Early season rates are available through June 1, with 9 holes of golf beginning at $55. All golf rates include green fees, golf car rental, practice facility access and practice balls.
Opening on Friday, May 26, the Keystone Ranch Golf Course is the site of the 2017 Colorado Golf Association Mid-Amateur Championship. This classic mountain golf course winds through lodgepole pines, around sage meadows and across a nine-acre lake. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., the par 72 Keystone Ranch Golf Course follows the legendary links-style of a Scottish course on the front nine, while the back nine offers a traditional mountain valley layout.
Keystone offers a variety of lodging options, including hotels, condos and townhomes ranging in size from studio to four-bedroom, and four- and five-bedroom private homes, that are conveniently located within minutes of The River Course and Keystone Ranch Golf Course. Keystone’s Stay, Play & Save packages begin at $183 per person, per night and offer exclusive savings on lodging and golf rates, and include green fees, practice facility access and free nine holes of golf on the afternoon of arrival. Additionally, resort amenities, activities and dining options are all located on-site at Keystone, providing a variety of easily accessible mountain adventures when not golfing.
Both The River Course and Keystone Ranch Golf Course offer a variety of private lessons, clinics, and programs designed for golfers of all abilities and ages. With instruction via Keystone’s PGA teaching professionals, enjoying the links through private lessons and weekly offerings designed specifically for women, men, juniors, seniors and group golfers is easier than a hole-in-one. There are programs offered each day of the week except Sunday, including short-game clinics, Birdies and Bettys ladies’ play days and junior golf clinics.
Golf rates include a variety of options, including 9-, 18- and 36-hole rates, twilight rates, numerous season passes, memberships, and junior rates. For additional information, including booking a tee time, visit golfkeystone.com.
