Beaver Creek Resort Opens Birds of Prey Express Lift; Four Additional Lifts to Open Saturday, December 17
BEAVER CREEK, Colo. – Dec. 14, 2016 – Beaver Creek Resort opened Birds of Prey Express Lift (#9) on Wednesday, with terrain access on Red Tail. Larkspur Express Lift (#11), Arrow Bahn Express Lift (#17), Grouse Mountain Express Lift (#10), and Highlands Lift (#2) will open during the day on Saturday with access to beginner, intermediate, and expert terrain. Talons Restaurant opened on Wednesday for the 2016-2017 season. Broken Arrow in Arrowhead Village will open on Saturday, December 17.
 
On Saturday, Beaver Creek Resort will operate the following lifts with access to more than 1,000 acres of terrain:
  • Centennial Express Lift (#6)
  • Buckaroo Express Gondola (#1)
  • Cinch Express Lift (#8)
  • Bachelor Gulch Express Lift (#16)
  • Drink of Water Lift (#5)
  • Strawberry Park Express Lift (#12)
  • Rose Bowl Express Lift (#4)
  • Riverfront Gondola Express (#7)
  • Lower Beaver Creek Mountain Express Lift (#15)
  • Upper Beaver Creek Mountain Express Lift (#18)
  • Bird of Prey Express Lift (#9)
  • Larkspur Express Lift (#11)
  • Arrow Bahn Express Lift (#17)
  • Grouse Mountain Express Lift (#10)
  • Highlands Lift (#2)

All guests are reminded that they must observe all posted signs and closures, especially during the early-season. Closed trails may contain hazards due to early snow coverage. Accessing closed terrain is a violation of the Colorado Ski Safety Act and will result in the loss of skiing privileges and could involve prosecution and a fine.
 
Uphill Travel Policy
Non-lift access to ski area facilities such as uphill snowshoeing, hiking or "skinning", may present high danger of personal injury to participants or others and therefore may be limited or forbidden based on conditions, on-mountain activity and/or mountain policy. Please note, fat tire biking and/or mountain biking is prohibited on the mountain during the winter season, both during day time and night time operations. Prior to embarking on these uphill activities, please call the Trails Hotline for approved uphill travel routes and mountain access: (970) 754-5907.
 
Purchase Lift Tickets In Advance to Save the Most
Skiers and snowboarders looking for the best prices on lift tickets can use their smartphone or computer to purchase tickets online in advance at www.snow.com/lifttickets. By purchasing lift tickets seven or more days in advance online, guests will receive the biggest savings – up to 25 percent – and the lowest price, guaranteed. Advance purchase tickets can be sent directly to a guest’s mailbox, allowing them to bypass the ticket window. Or guests can easily pick up their tickets at the resorts’ Epic Day Express windows. Once a guest has a hard card ticket, they can even load more days onto the card by purchasing additional days online. Guests can also save by booking ski school lessons online in advance at www.snow.com/skischool.
