Vail Mountain Opens China Bowl
- With more than 2,600 skiable acres, Vail has the most open terrain in Colorado
- Resort has received 24” of new snow in last seven days
VAIL, Colo. – Dec. 9, 2016 –Vail Mountain began operating Orient Express (#21) and Teacup Express (#36) today, accessing terrain in China Bowl. The resort also opened Riva Bahn Express (#6) and Highline Express (#10), bringing the total skiable acres to 2,692, the most open terrain at any ski resort in Colorado. Two Elk restaurant also opened today providing addition dining options for guests.
Vail has received two feet of new snow in the last week, and the Colorado forecast is calling for consistent snowfall until Dec. 18.
