WILMOT, Wisc. – Nov. 15, 2016 – Vail Resorts’ 2016-2017 ski season begins this Friday with the opening of Keystone Resort in Colorado and the best way to access unlimited skiing and snowboarding locally at Wilmot Mountain and out West this winter is with Vail Resorts’ season pass lineup. This year’s Epic Passes are only available through Sunday, Nov. 20, which means that Chicago- and Milwaukee-area skiers have just five remaining days to secure the greatest value in skiing and snowboarding at the best mountains in Wisconsin, Colorado, Utah, Tahoe and Canada this winter.
Access to Wilmot Mountain and 10 world-class resorts, including Whistler Blackcomb
At only $649, the Epic Local Pass is similarly priced to previous years’ Wilmot Mountain-only passes, and also offers guests access 12 additional resorts including Vail, Beaver Creek and Breckenridge in Colorado and Park City in Utah. With the recent addition of Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Canada, all 2016-2017 Epic Local Pass and Epic Pass holders will receive five days of skiing and snowboarding at Whistler Blackcomb this winter season with holiday restrictions. Wilmot Mountain guests will experience $13 million in improvements –including three new lifts, dramatically improved snowmaking, fully renovated base lodge, new kids ski and snowboard school facility and an upgraded terrain park.
For those who plan to ski close to home, the Wilmot Pass grants unlimited and unrestricted access to Wilmot Mountain for just $539, where winter weather is predicted to bring fantastic snow this winter. Families can purchase unlimited skiing for three at Wilmot Mountain for only $1,099.
2016-2017 Season Pass Options for Wilmot Skiers and Snowboarders:
- Epic Local Pass™: The Epic Local Pass pays for itself in just over three days out West. For $649, pass holders receive unlimited and unrestricted skiing or riding at Wilmot Mountain, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Afton Alps and Mt. Brighton, with limited restrictions at Park City, Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood, plus a total of 10 days at Vail and Beaver Creek with holiday restrictions. Now includes five free days at Whistler Blackcomb in 2016-2017 with holiday restrictions. A child pass (ages five to 12) is $339.
- Epic Pass™: Ski as much as you want, whenever you want for $849. The Epic Pass pays for itself in just over four days of skiing or riding out West. With more than 32,000 acres of skiing and snowboarding terrain, this pass is the best in the industry. It features unlimited, unrestricted access to Wilmot Mountain locally, plus Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado, Park City in Utah, Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood at Lake Tahoe, Perisher in Australia for the 2017 season, Afton Alps in Minnesota and Mt. Brighton in Michigan. Also, now with five free days at Whistler Blackcomb in 2016-2017 with holiday restrictions. The Epic Pass grants limited access to Arlberg in Austria, Les 3 Vallées, Paradiski and Tignes-Val D’Isere in France, Skirama Dolomiti in Italy and 4 Vallées in Switzerland. - Wilmot Pass (including Wilmot Mountain Family Pass): For those who plan to ski or snowboard solely at Wilmot Mountain, there is the Wilmot Pass. At $539 for adults, pass holders receive unlimited access to Wilmot Mountain with no restrictions. A discounted rate is offered for families of three people at $1099; additional family members can be added for $149 each. New this year, parents can purchase a season pass for their child to ski at Wilmot for only $339 (previously only adult passes were offered). That pass is an Epic Local Child Pass and includes access to nine world-class mountains in Colorado, Utah and California.
