10th Annual Beaver Creek Wine & Spirits Festival Returns August 12-14
Beaver Creek, Colo., July 21, 2016 — The much anticipated wine, spirit and culinary event of the summer, the 10th Annual Beaver Creek Wine & Spirits Festival presented by Wine Spectator, returns Aug. 12, 13, and 14, nestled in the raw beauty of the Rocky Mountains of Beaver Creek, Colorado. This event incorporates culinary excellence with Beaver Creek’s longstanding traditions, outdoor adventures, health and wellness.

Each event has a specialized theme and a location that pairs perfectly. The weekend starts off on Thursday evening with a special kick-off event, Whiskey Wranglers at the Beaver Creek Rodeo – a whiskey tasting with a touch of the wild, wild, west. Friday’s festivities begin with Outdoor Yoga & “Drink Your Veggies.” An invigorating outdoor yoga session is followed by a selection of “vegetal cocktails,” a refreshingly delightful combination of fresh pressed juices and locally crafted spirits. Friday continues with Hooked on Sake, a pairing of Beaver Creek’s innovative seafood haven, Hooked, and Takara Sake. The Friday Afternoon Club Social offers a casual alpine summer setting with live music and a guest mixologist at the Plaza Pavilion in Beaver Creek Village. Cap off the evening with The Bachelor Experience Cigar & Scotch Tasting at the Smoking Lounge at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch.
 
Embark on the Walk & Wine tour on Saturday for a memorable hike on Beaver Creek Mountain through Aspen groves and meadows of wildflowers all above Beaver Creek Village guided by experts from Beaver Creek’s Hiking Center and culminating with a chef-led food and wine pairing featuring Splendido’s executive chef, Brian Ackerman. Join Chef Joly of Mirabelle Restaurant and Domaine Serene wines for De-mystifying Food and Wine Pairings, featuring a custom menu and an exquisite selection of wines. The 90+ Napa Wine Club Seminar will explore a group of wines all rated 90 points or higher by Wine Spectator magazine for an exciting and engaging seminar.
 
The weekend’s star event, Saturday’s 10th Annual Grand Tasting, is a celebration of the weekend’s highlighted dishes and drinks with mouth-watering samples, music and drink. Put on your boots and kick off the Wine & Spirits weekend at the Beaver Creek Rodeo while sampling a variety of fine whiskeys.  Savor the flavor of the whiskey on your palate while getting a taste of this wild west tradition.
Location: Beaver Creek Rodeo, VIP Tasting Area. The Beaver Creek Rodeo Grounds are located in Avon just east of the Chapel Square and City Market shopping centers. Bring your friends to the Plaza Pavilion and enjoy an alpine summer evening featuring live music, wine and cheese tastings from Bouchaine and Murray’s Cheese, a guest mixologist from 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirits. We'll be mixing up summer-infused cocktails to beat the heat and complement the fresh mountain air.

The Bachelor Experience- Cigar + Scotch Tasting 5:00PM-7:00PM
When we say Bachelor, we mean the Bachelor Gulch Experience. Come explore the Smoking Lounge at the Ritz Carlton in Bachelor Gulch for an avant garde cigar and scotch tasting with Alec Bradley cigars and Glenfiddich scotch. Whether you're a cigar smoking novice or a seasoned cigar lover, enjoy a selection of delicious cigars while learning to how to cut, light, and identify specific tobacco flavors to help pair your cigar with the perfect scotch or spirit. Ticket price includes the purchase of cigars and complimentary spirit tastings.
