Park City Mountain Resort Announces 2016-17 Winter Operating Dates
  • The Park City Base Area will open for the 2016-17 winter season on Friday, November 18
  • Canyons Village will open on Wednesday, November 23
  • Park City will close for the season on Sunday, April 16
PARK CITY, UT (May 17, 2016) – Today, Park City Mountain Resort announced operating dates for the 2016-2017 ski and snowboard season. The Park City Base Area will open on Friday, November 18, and Canyons Village will open on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. Park City will close for the season on Sunday, April 16, 2017.
 
In 2015, Park City Mountain Resort made its debut as the largest ski and snowboard resort in the United States after investing $50 million in capital improvements to connect the former Park City and Canyons Resorts. This year, Park City will open for winter operations on a Friday, a day earlier than its traditional Saturday opening. Canyons Village will also open earlier, the day before Thanksgiving, allowing guests to enjoy more of their holiday experience on the slopes. The 2016-17 season will extend through Easter Sunday.

The Epic SchoolKids Utah Pack is also returning to Park City Mountain Resort for the 2016-2017 winter season giving all Utah kindergarten through fifth graders the opportunity to access five free days of skiing or riding at Park City. Utah families who wish to participate in the free program must enroll by May 30, 2016. Online registration is now open at www.epicschoolkids.com/utah
 
Park City is currently selling the Epic Local Pass for the 2016-2017 season at the lowest guaranteed price and is offering benefits to guests who purchase early. Spring pricing starts at $609 for an adult Epic Local Pass with limited restrictions.
