Park City, Utah (May 5, 2016) – Vail Resorts and Park City Mountain is pleased to announce the opening of Canyons Golf on Friday, May 27, 2016. Opening last year to wide acclaim, the 18-hole, 6,256-yard par-69 Canyons Golf course brought another great recreational amenity to Park City Mountain Resort. New this season, the course is debuting several improvements to the greens including a complete redesign of the 15th hole; improved playability on the first, third, sixth, 10th and 17th greens; and an upcoming transformation of the 11th hole, resulting in a par-5 hole and a par-70 course.

“We’re eager to open Canyons Golf for the 2016 season,” says Justin Johnson, director of Canyons Golf. “We listened to guest feedback throughout the inaugural season and are excited to announce new improvements to enhance guest experience. We’re dedicated to offering pristine conditions and amazing service at Canyons Golf’s distinctive and challenging course that can be played time and time again.”
The golf course winds through 97 acres in the heart of the Park City Mountain footprint near Canyons Village. Designed by renowned course architects Gene Bates and Casey Bates, the course begins near the Orange Bubble Express lift and winds through the Willow Draw area and surrounding hotels before finishing back by the Orange Bubble Express.
The 10th hole presents a huge 250-foot elevation drop allowing guests to potentially hit a 400-yard drive. The signature fifth hole has unrivaled vantage points and is known as one of the most picturesque locations on property, offering panoramic views of Park City.
