BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. — Feb. 8, 2016 – A week dedicated to women and snow sports returns to Breck for the ski area’s second annual Women’s Ski Week, Feb. 13-21, 2016. Women’s Ski Week at Breckenridge Ski Resort will highlight the resort’s offerings for women of all ages in a welcoming, supportive and fun place to improve skiing or snowboarding skills. The classes will encourage moms, sisters, daughters and girlfriends to get the most out of the mountain and town and will connect them with other like-minded women who also love snow sports.
Women’s Ski Week at Breckenridge will offer women of all ages unique ski and snowboard lessons, fun dinners, movie night and more!
Women's Ski Week Schedule:
Feb 12 – 21 Ski Girls Rock – Give your girl the ultimate gift – the opportunity to rock the mountain like Lindsey Vonn! This fun and funky ski lesson is designed by the World Champion skier herself to give girls ages 7 to 14 what they need to be confident and strong on the mountain. She’ll enjoy a social one or three-day lesson packed with tons of fun – kicking off Women’s ski week a day early, on Feb. 12.
Feb 13 – 21 Women's Ultimate 4 – Learn from experienced female instructors in a group no larger than four in the ultimate mountain-tackling lesson. You’ll learn in a comfortable setting with other ladies of a similar ability level.
Feb. 13 – 21 Women’s Yoga - FREE – hosted daily throughout the week, from 10 – 11 a.m. in the Adams Room at One Ski Hill Place, A Rock Resort; yoga mats will be provided.
Feb 13 SheJumps Get The Girls Out Day – Join in with other women for this one-day event that focuses on supporting, challenging, mentoring and inspiring each other in an outdoor setting. Unite with fellow outdoor sport enthusiasts while you take on the mountain together.
Feb 15 Nordic Center Lessons – Cross Country Skiing is an amazing experience, especially at Breck! Come experience the Breckenridge Nordic Center and learn to Cross Country Ski for Ladies’ Nordic Day on Monday, Feb. 15. Immerse yourself in the snowy trails of Peak 7 and Peak 8 while enjoying the 1-hour beginner Cross Country Skiing lesson in an all-female environment.
Feb 17 Women & Wine + – Women & Wine incorporates the best of both worlds for an invigorating and relaxing day: a half-day lesson followed by special wine tastings. Ski, sip, and play for just $70 as you learn from the best women instructors at Breck. This special session held on Feb. 17 will have light appetizers available, a wine tasting from William Hill Winery, and mini- spa treatments available. Regular Women & Wine classesare held every Wednesday through March 2.
Feb 19 Women's First Tracks – Join the early bird crew February 19 to gain access to first tracks on the mountain! Anyone who books a women's program or lesson this year at Breck will get free access to this event.
Feb 19 Women’s Movie Night – The party starts at 2 p.m. at the TBar with Breck’s favorite female deejay, DJ Cyn on Friday, February 19 and continues at 4:30 p.m. for a movie showing of Shifting Ice + Changing Tides.
Feb 19 – 21 Women’s Camp – Join Breck’s top women instructors for three days of hands-on instruction that will help you tackle the mountain with confidence. Complete with video analysis, a supportive women’s environment, lunches and a celebratory happy hour – you’ll wonder why you didn’t sign up earlier. Feb 20 Girls Snowboard Parks Camp - At Breck’s one-day Girls Snowboard Parks Camp, you’ll get exactly what you’re looking for, whether you’ve never tried park features before or you’ve dabbled with getting air. Our supportive and fun female instructors will take female snowboarders through the art of riding boxes, rails, jumps and basic halfpipe skills. This exciting camp offers video reviewing as well as lunch.
Feb 21 Bombshells – Developed for the moms of our Bombers and BAM kids, we’re offering discount lessons for women of any level looking to get the most of their time on the mountain, without worrying how to fit it all in! Drop your kid off, grab a coffee and catch your lesson right on time. Held from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each Saturday, this lesson program is the perfect length to get your ‘me time’ in before picking your little skier up.
