Discover the Secret Season of Vail Resorts Mountains
- Up to 25 feet of snow across Vail Resorts’ mountains this season
- Off-peak visits give skiers and snowboarders the best lodging rates and the mountains to themselves
BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Feb. 1, 2016 — El Nino has dropped up to 25 feet of fresh snow this season across the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the Sierra Nevada range in Lake Tahoe and the Wasatch Range in Utah, and insiders know that off-peak times in February and into March can be the best time to visit Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado; Park City in Utah; and Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood in California and Nevada.
Skiers and snowboarders who visit during off-peak periods can take advantage of some of the season’s best lodging rates along with excellent snow surface conditions, short lift lines and more space on the mountain. These traditionally quieter time frames also offer fantastic events, and easier reservations at the most popular restaurants and spas.
