BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. — Dec. 27, 2015 — The final days of 2015 are going to new heights at Breckenridge Ski Resort with Sunday’s opening of the Imperial Express SuperChair, giving skiers access to some of Breck’s famed above tree line terrain in the Imperial Bowl. The opening of North America’ highest chairlift means all of the ski area’s lifts are now open for the season, with access to all five peaks and more than 2100 acres of skiable terrain. The Imperial Express SuperChair tops out at 12,840 feet after a quick 2.7 minute ride to the top of the Imperial Bowl. The chairlift offers easy access to three high-alpine bowls and hike-to access to the renowned Lake Chutes and Snow White areas of Peak 8, once those areas open.
Breckenridge Ski Resort requires all skiers and riders to observe all posted signs and warnings. Closed trails may contain hazards due to limited natural snow coverage and snowmaking operations. Please keep off closed trails and out of closed areas for safety reasons.
