Park City Now Open for the 2015-16 Season
  • Park City opened today as the largest resort in the United States.  
  • The new Quicksilver Gondola and $50 million in capital improvements will be open to the public this December.
  • Tomorrow, November 22, is the last day to purchase an Epic Local Pass at Park City.
PARK CITY, Utah – Nov. 21, 2015 – Park City opened for the much anticipated 2015-16 winter season this morning at 9:00 a.m., making a historic debut as the largest resort in the United States. PayDay Express, First Time and 3 Kings Lifts served four runs and two terrain parks with 23 features and one jump. 

Park City now offers guests 41 lifts, over 300 trails and 7,300 acres of skiable terrain. All of the $50 million in resort improvements, including the Quicksilver Gondola, will open to the public this December. 

Guests began lining up early morning to catch the first chair. They were welcomed with complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and warm donuts in the Park City Base Area. At 9:00 a.m., the first six guests in line loaded the PayDay Express and broke through the ceremonial banner signifying the start of the season at Park City. The festivities will continue throughout the afternoon with live music from the Parlour Hounds on PayDay deck.
