  • 240 skiable acres open by Saturday
  • Peak 9 access open on Saturday
BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. — Nov. 19, 2015 – Breckenridge Ski Resort is set to open additional terrain and chairlifts this week thanks to Mother Nature’s snowfall and continued ideal snowmaking conditions. Starting today, the Rocky Mountain SuperChair on Peak 8 will operate providing easy access to Claimjumper and Northstar trails. Peak 9 officially opens Nov. 21 when the Quicksilver SuperChair, Snowflake, and Peak8 SuperConnect start turning, accessing a total of 240 acres for skiers and snowboarders across two peaks.

Peak 9 trail openings will include Silverthorne and King’s Way via the Quicksilver SuperChair. Crosscut and lower Sawmill trails will be open as well as the Peak 8 SuperConnect to allow back and forth skiing and snowboarding between Peak 8 and Peak 9; the Snowflake lift will operate to offer mountain access from that bed base. Peak 9 base area will operate with full services including Breckenridge Ski & Snowboard School and on-mountain dining at TenMile Station and The Maggie.

Breckenridge Ski Resort requires all skiers and riders to observe all posted signs and warnings. Closed trails may contain hazards due to limited natural snow coverage and snowmaking operations. Please keep off closed trails and out of closed areas for safety reasons.
