Grand Teton Lodge Company Opens Its Doors for 2015 Summer Season with Updates and New Programming
Committed to Sustainability, Service and the Best of Family Travel, Grand Teton Lodge Company Kicks Off Another Summer in the Park

Moran, Wyo. (May 18, 2015) – Today, the premier operator of lodging and activities inside Grand Teton National Park, Grand Teton Lodge Company (GTLC), kicked off summer 2015 operations, along with exciting new programming and a reinvigorated commitment to sustainability, service and adventure.

“Each summer, we find ourselves increasingly more excited about the season and new offerings we’ll be delivering to lodging guests,” said Alex Klein, vice president and general manager of Grand Teton Lodge Company and Flagg Ranch Company. “We value guest feedback and have incorporated updates to our accommodations as well as new programming and promise this year’s visit to Grand Teton National Park – and years thereafter – will be truly memorable.”

GTLC’s hub of activities, Jackson Lake Lodge, will open its doors on May 18, offering comfortable accommodations for adventurers and thrill seekers to retreat after long days of exploration. With a commitment to guest satisfaction, capital improvements were made to the property’s guestroom bathrooms. For guests returning year after year for the views and cozy cabin feel of the rooms, the bathroom furnishings now mirror the standards of their surroundings.

For an authentic campground experience, travelers can book at Colter Bay Village beginning May 22. Colter Bay offers a variety of lodging options including homestead cabins, tent cabins, campsites and a RV resort.

Grand Teton National Park’s hidden gem, Jenny Lake Lodge, will open its doors June 1, bringing Five-Diamond luxury and sophisticated dining options to those looking for an upscale national park experience. New this year, Jenny Lake Lodge will host an interactive Photography Workshop from June 1 – 4, 2015. Designed for guests to learn the art of photography, the workshop is designed for participants to immerse themselves in nature in Jenny Lake Lodge’s stunning setting. The package includes nightly lodging, breakfast each morning, cruiser bicycles, as well as photography guidance from Cody Downard, a renowned industry professional.

Enviably located between Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park, Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch will also open June 1.

In addition to various lodging options, GTLC is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club. With a recently renovated golf course, a tennis and pool complex and events center, new offerings this season include various golf membership options for families, young executives and more.

New this year, GTLC is thrilled to support the national Every Kid in a Park initiative to engage and create opportunities for every fourth grade student across the country to have a meaningful experience in a national park. Announced by President Obama in February, Every Kid in a Park officially launches this fall, but GTLC will demonstrate its support for the initiative by being the first partner to bring approximately 60 fourth grade students to experience first-hand the majesty of a national park. As the first to embark on the initiative, GTLC will be hosting a fourth grade class from Donald D. Stalker Elementary School in Blackfoot, Idaho, a Title 1 school 120 miles from the Park May 20-22, 2015.

With a commitment to keeping the park clean and eco-friendly, GTLC encourages guests to take part in a Sustainable Stay Pledge. As apart of the pledge, guests will engage in green practices while staying in the park, such as turning off lights and heat, carrying reusable water bottles, using park shuttles and choosing sustainable, healthy food options at GTLC’s numerous dining vendors. In return for taking the Sustainable Stay Pledge, GTLC will reward its guest with a gift of a reusable bag, water bottle, Sustainable Stay sticker, as well as $5 per night off their room rate with a two-night minimum stay.
