Carnival-Themed Unbuckle Après Party Heats Up Holiday Week
Heavenly’s signature après party, Unbuckle, is transforming into a little slice of Brazil this week, with a special Carnival-themed celebration every day from 3:30-5:30 p.m. until Saturday, February 21. The lovely Heavenly Angels will be bedecked in extravagant Carnival costumes, and skiers and riders will have to show some impressive dance moves to earn their Carnival beads.
“This is a completely new take on Unbuckle,” said John Wagnon, senior marketing director of Vail Resorts, Lake Tahoe. “We are adding some exotic flair from Brazil to the President’s Day weekend. In addition to enjoying all the great snow we received this past week, we’re inviting guests to revel in the holiday with après ski drinks, dancing and plenty of our legendary California sunshine. Half-price drinks and food specials will be offered daily from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Unbuckle Après Party at Tamarack Lodge, located at the top of the Heavenly Gondola. With the 14-16” of snow that fell on Heavenly last week, the resort is now operating 19 lifts granting access to 64 trails and over 2,000 acres of skiable terrain.
