Tubing, Zip Lining and More Adventure Ridge Activities Open for the Season Tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 17
  • Dinner service begins this week at The 10th, Game Creek and Bistro Fourteen.
VAIL, Colo. – Dec. 16, 2014 – Vail’s Adventure Ridge opens for the 2014-2015 season tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 17. Located just off the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19), Adventure Ridge offers fun winter activities for the whole family.
 
In addition to skiing and snowboarding on more than 4,300 acres of skiable terrain currently open at Vail, guests can now also enjoy activities like snow tubing, kids snowmobiling, guided ski biking tours, daily ski bike rentals, zip lining, bungee trampolines and free snowshoe tours at the Nature Discovery Center.
 
Adventure Ridge will be open daily for the holiday season from 12-8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17 through Saturday, January 3. Beginning Sunday, Jan. 4, Adventure Ridge will resume its normal winter operating schedule Tuesdays through Saturdays from 12-8 p.m., and Sundays and Mondays from 12-4 p.m.
 
Snow tubing and kids snowmobiling begins at noon; the 1,200-foot long zip line and bungee trampoline opens at 3 p.m. and guided ski biking tours depart at 4:45, 5:15, 6:30 and 7 p.m. Ski bikes are also available for full- or half-day rentals. Activity reservations are recommended.
 
On-Mountain Dining
Wildwood barbeque and the Dawg Haus are now open for the season, in addition to other on-mountain, fast-casual options like Two Elk, Mid-Vail and the Marketplace at Eagle’s Nest. The Grand Press, Gondoly’s at Eagle’s Nest and the Black Forest Grill will be open by Friday, Dec. 19.
 
The 10th, Vail’s elevated on-mountain, sit-down dining experience is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dinner at The 10th will begin on Tuesday, Dec. 16 and the restaurant will be open nightly through Saturday, Jan. 3.  Regular dinner service will be offered Tuesdays through Saturdays beginning Tuesday, Jan. 6 and reservations can be made by calling (970) 754-1010.
 
Dinner service at Game Creek Restaurant and Bistro Fourteen will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 17. Both restaurants will be open nightly through Saturday, Jan. 3 before moving to their regular dinner service schedule Tuesdays through Saturdays.
