- Excellent snow and quality conditions abound for one of the earliest openings on record at Mt. Brighton
- New EpicDay Lift Tickets online and mobile ticketing platform allows for guaranteed lowest price on lift tickets and no more waiting in the ticket line!
BRIGHTON, Mich. (Nov. 14, 2014) – With 43 new state-of-the-art, energy-efficient American-made snowmaking guns and more than five miles of underground irrigation pipe servicing more than 80 snowmaking access ports, Mt. Brighton plans to open Sunday, November 16 for the 2014-15 ski and snowboard season with excellent snow conditions.
“The cold weather is here and Mt. Brighton is ready for the ski season to start,” says Mt. Brighton General Manager Taylor Ogilvie. “Our new snowmaking system is working super efficiently to produce a high quality deep base of snow so we can provide our guests the best conditions from the first day through the end of the season. Our goal is to always provide every Mt. Brighton guest the Experience of a Lifetime and we will do that from day one.”
Mt. Brighton’s new energy-efficient snowmaking guns are giving it a head start on what Mother Nature is set to deliver. Mt. Brighton’s snowmaking technology can not only cover its 130 acres with the highest quality base of snow in southeastern Michigan, it can also recover faster following a warm spell.
To make hitting these slopes even easier for skiers and snowboarders this year, Mt. Brighton is proud to introduce EpicDay Lift Tickets, an online and mobile platform for purchasing daily lift tickets at the guaranteed lowest price.
“If you like to plan well in advance of your day at Mt. Brighton, you can utilize the EpicDay Lift Tickets platform online – booking lift tickets as far in advance as you’d like,” added Ogilvie. “If you happen to be more spontaneous, you can purchase a lift ticket on your mobile device as you pull into Mt. Brighton’s parking lot, instead of waiting in line at the traditional ticket window.”
EpicDay Lift Tickets are now available at Mt. Brighton, as well as throughout the entire national Vail Resorts’ portfolio: Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado; Park City and Canyons in Utah; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood at Lake Tahoe; and Afton Alps in Minnesota. By using EpicDay, skiers will not only get the lowest price guaranteed on daily lift tickets, they’ll also have the convenience of skipping the ticket line and spending more time on their favorite trails.
Benefits of EpicDay Lift Tickets:
- Lift tickets purchased via online or mobile can be picked up at the EpicDay Express Ticket Pick-Up lanes, allowing guests to bypass the traditional ticket line. Guests will be required to bring their order confirmation or credit card used at purchase, and a photo ID.
- Once the guest has either the EpicDay Lift Ticket or their hard card lift ticket from last season, they can add more days online or via mobile and go direct to lift, never standing in a ticket line again.
To ensure they’re getting the best deal for the way they access the mountain, skiers and snowboarders should also check out Mt. Brighton’s season pass line up (Epic Pass, Epic Local and Epic 4- and 7-Day), which can combine days locally with days out West at Vail Resorts’ ten world-class western resorts: Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado; Park City and Canyons in Utah; and Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood at Lake Tahoe. Season passes are only available through Saturday, Nov. 23.
