Breckenridge and Keystone Announce Spring Operating Hours for the Final Weeks of the 2013-2014 Winter Season
  • A combined 6000 skiable acres still open for skiing at riding between the two resorts
  • Starting April 7, lifts will operate from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily at both resorts
  • Great spring conditions and fantastic events throughout April
Summit County, Colo – April 4, 2014 – With Breckenridge and Keystone Ski Resorts having seen more than 20” of snowfall in the last seven days, providing some of the best snow conditions in Colorado, more than 6000 acres of combined terrain is expected to be available for skiers and riders until Keystone’s closing day, April 20. Terrain for all ability levels will remain open, including Breckenridge’s famed upper mountain terrain and Peak 6, and both resorts have scheduled an April calendar filled with exciting events on and off the snow.

Beginning Monday, April 7, through their respective closing dates, lifts at both resorts are expected to operate from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily, with upper lifts at Breckenridge opening approximately a half-hour later, conditions permitting. Guests are advised to check for the most up-to-date information on terrain and lift status on Keystoneresort.com or Breckenridge.com.

April Events at Keystone
April is action-packed at Keystone, with events including this weekend’s Red Bull Schlittentag, Community Cup slopestyle competition and Village concerts. Daily Kidtopia events continue through April 20,and Closing Weekend will be celebrated with the Resort’s fourth-annual Slush Cup pond skimming competition and a mountain Easter egg hunt. Breck Extended Season + Spring Fever
Due to the above-average snowfall and continued deep snowpack, Breckenridge recently announced guests can enjoy an additional seven days of spring skiing and riding, as the resort has extended its season through Sunday, April 27. In previous years, only terrain on Peak 8 was open  during extended seasons. This year, Breck will continue to offer three of its peaks during the extended week, with Rip’s Ride, 5 Chair, Colorado SuperChair, T-bar, Imperial SuperChair, Independence SuperChair, Zendo Chair, and Kensho SuperChair all slated for operation on Peaks 6, 7, and 8. This will give guests a final chance to ski or ride Breck’s newly-added terrain, Peak 6, during its inaugural season. Learn more about the extended season at Breckenridge.com.

Breckenridge’s Spring Fever Festival, the largest spring skiing festival in the ski industry, is underway and continues this weekend with events for kids of all ages, including the annual Mascot Olympics and the Breckenridge Spring Beer Festival.
