Fresh Snow Forces Cancellation of U.S. Grand Prix FreeSkiing Slope Style Finals at Breckenridge

Overnight a winter storm blew into Summit County dropping more than seven inches of fresh snow on the half pipe and slope style course at Breckenridge. Due to the heavy snow and limited visibility, the Men’s and Women’s Free Skiing Slope Style Finals that was originally scheduled for today was cancelled.  Per FIS rules, event officials will use the Slope Style qualifying results for both men and women as the final results.

Results are as follows:
Men
1. Bobby Brown, USA (Breckenridge, CO)
2. Jasper Tjader, SWE
3. Kai Mahler, SUI
Women
1. Keri Herman, USA (Breckenridge, CO)
2. Emma Dahlstrom, SWE
3. Devin Logan, USA

Full results will be posted on www.usfreeskiing.com/grandprix.

Course volunteers and officials will be working around the clock to remove the deep snow to ensure tomorrow’s events stay on schedule.

All Grand Prix weekend events are free and open to the public.  The Snowboard Slope Style Finals, Snowboard Half Pipe Finals, and Free Skiing Half Pipe Finals are all slated for the upcoming weekend.  For more information please visit breckenridge.com
