Beaver Creek’s Annual WinterFest Returns with Parades, Ice Sculpting and Holiday Entertainment
Beaver Creek, Colo., Dec. 20, 2013 – Beaver Creek Resort’s WinterFestreturns Dec. 21- Jan. 4 for the third annual holiday season celebration. As part of the resort’s popular Beaver Creek Loves Kids programming, WinterFest brings a magical ambiance to Beaver Creek Village. The multiple week-long celebration features a cast of magical characters, fire jugglers, themed skate nights, Winter Wonder Parades, figure skating performances and more. Beaver Creek Village brings the holiday spirit to life by arranging enchanting scenes and holiday decorations all over the village plaza. With a full schedule of events everyday during WinterFest, there are fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. 

“WinterFest has grown into a not-to-be-missed winter holiday tradition at Beaver Creek and we are proud to bring it back for its third year. We strive to create the impression that guests have entered a special winter wonderland when they come to Beaver Creek during the holidays,” says Tim Baker, executive director of the Beaver Creek Resort Company. “Guests and visitors will enjoy popular holiday activities organized for all ages and for more than two weeks this year.”

Other highlights of WinterFest include the detailed ice sculptures around the village. Kids can find all five scattered penguins throughout the village and win a prize. Santa and his elves will be listening to children’s Christmas wishes in Santa’s Workshop from Dec. 21-24.  The Kid’s Winter Wonder Parade starts everyday at 4 p.m. at Beaver Creek Plaza and is open to all kids. The Family FunFest Carnival has games, prizes and caricature drawings each Saturday from 4- 5:30 p.m. And there will be live performances from winter characters includingSnow Princess, Old Man Winter, Prince Chestnut, Fedgewick the Storyteller and Scurry and Snowflake, the Troublesome Elves. Beaver Creek Resort Company, in partnership with Blue Creek Productions, creates the winter wonders that make WinterFest come alive.

Beaver Creek Loves Teens Too features special teen programming for ages 13-17 and includes twilight snowshoe and pizza parties, ski and snowboard trick classes and multiple evenings of tubing at Adventure Ridge.
