Beaver Creek Announces Trails for Opening Day Nov 27
Beaver Creek, Colo., Nov. 26, 2013 – Beaver Creek Resort’s opening day will provide Thanksgiving holiday skiers and snowboarders with 486 acres of terrain accessed by seven lifts and seven surface lifts. Good early season snowfall combined with a state-of-the-art snowmaking system have allowed the resort to prepare top-to-bottom skiing and terrain for all ability levels.

“Beaver Creek’s mountain operations teams continue to work around the clock preparing as much terrain as possible for opening day guests and we are looking forward to skiing on 486 acres when lifts open at 9 a.m.,” said Doug Lovell, chief operating officer for Beaver Creek Resort.

Beginning at  9 a.m. on Wednesday, the majority of skiing and riding at Beaver Creek will take place on the main mountain including expert and intermediate designated favorites  Ripsaw, Cataract, C-Prime and Stone Creek Meadows in Rose Bowl. Centennial Express Lift (#6) will offer skiing access to Latigo, Gold Dust, Double Diamond, Willy’s Face and Haymeadow trails. The Cinch Express Lift (#8) serves primarily beginner and some intermediate terrain with Booth Gardens, Upper Centennial, Cinch, Mystic Island, Piney, Powell, Red Buffalo and Upper Sheephorn opening for the season. A part of Upper Centennial, including Spruce Face is designated as expert terrain. The Strawberry Park Express Lift (#12) will feature skiing on lower President Ford’s, lower Stacker, Intertwine and portions of Bitterroot.

Bachelor Gulch will offer skiing and snowboarding on Sawbuck, a beginner trail, and skiers will be able to return to the main mountain via Intertwine. To get to Bachelor Gulch, skiers can ride the Strawberry Park Express Lift and ski down Primrose to Sawbuck.
