Northstar Opens for the 2013.2014 Winter Season
Northstar announced the start the to the winter season today. Low temperatures in the Sierra in recent days have allowed snowmakers to work around the clock in recent days, adding to the 20 inches of natural snow received in recent weeks.

“Thanks to our incredible snowmaking systems and crews working around the clock, we are looking forward to a remarkable opening weekend,” said Northstar Chief Operating Officer Bill Rock. “I am incredibly proud of our teams and we are looking forward to a great season.”
 
Guests can count on three lifts and four trails to be open and running for opening day. Big Springs Gondola will open at 8:00 a.m. and will debut its remodeled gondola cabins. Vista Express and Arrow Express will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Opening day skiers and riders will have access to four open trails including Skid Trail, Upper Lumberjack, Upper Main Street and Lower Main Street. Several opening day activities are also planned throughout the weekend including a Starbucks coffee cup scavenger hunt in the Village and an Epic Pass Clubgiveaway. Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 is also the last day for skiers and riders to purchase the 2013-2014 Epic Pass and have access to 26 iconic mountains in four countries, including unlimited, unrestricted skiing and riding at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin and Eldora in Colorado; Canyons in Park City, Utah; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood at Lake Tahoe; Afton Alps in Minnesota and Mt. Brighton in Michigan; five free days at Verbier, Switzerland; five consecutive free days at Arlberg, Austria; and five free days at Les 3 Vallées, France.
