Breckenridge Ski Patrol Seeks Volunteers for Gondola Training
BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. — Sept. 17, 2013 —Breckenridge Ski Patrol is looking for 150 volunteers to participate in their annual gondola evacuation training on Saturday, September 28, 2013. The training exercise will begin at the base of the BreckConnect gondola at 9:00 a.m. and conclude around noon. Ski patrol will hold an optional open discussion and BBQ lunch following the training. Lunch details will be announced at the base of the gondola on the morning of the training.
This exercise is a great way to educate the public on the ski patrol’s safety response techniques in the event a gondola evacuation is needed. All ski patrol members have previously acquired the necessary skills to safely conduct an evacuation. If interested in participating, please contact Duke Barlow, dbarlow@vailresorts.com or (970) 453-5000 by Thursday, September 26, 2013.
