Smooth Jazz and Wine Tasting Make for a Relaxing Retreat at Keystone Resort
KEYSTONE, Colo. — July 8, 2013 — The annual Wine and Jazz Festival is back at Keystone Resort, Saturday, July 13 to Sunday, July 14, with a multitude of exquisite wine tastings and soothing live jazz performances. Coupled with Keystone’s comfortable summer climate, with temperatures rarely exceeding 75 degrees and 300 days of sunshine annually, this weekend event makes for a tranquil Rocky Mountain retreat. The Wine and Jazz festival will feature a range of educational wine seminars, giving participants the chance to unlock their inner sommelier. To top off the weekend affair, guests can also enjoy an assortment of delightful attractions outside of the festival including summer spa specials and dining at one of Keystone’s AAA four diamond rated restaurants.
 
Beginning a weekend full of delectable indulgences, the festival will kick off in style with a Reserve Wine Tasting Dinner at Warren Station Center for the Arts on Friday, July 12 at 7:00 p.m. The evening will include fine wines, unforgettable entertainment and gourmet food, all for just $85 per person. Saturday, July 13 will commence the official Festival activities with the smooth music notes of Will Donato and Quantum Jazz in River Run Village beginning at 12:00 p.m. Festival food featuring sensational tastings from local Keystone restaurants will be available Saturday and Sunday, 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. in the heart of River Run Village, allowing guests the chance to pair delicacies with the multitude of red and white libations that will be poured throughout the day. Live deluxe jazz ensembles will keep guests entertained throughout the event with performances by Joel RodneyWill DonatoMia BoardersJeff KashiwaJackiem Joyner and festival favorite Dotsero. Tickets are available online for $60 for a one-day Wine and Jazz Pass or $100 for a weekend Wine and Jazz Pass. Passes include an official Keystone Wine and Jazz tasting glass, unlimited sampling of over 300 wines at the River Run Village Grand Tasting and a selection of gourmet food tickets.
 
Specialty educational wine seminars will be available both Saturday and Sunday in Warren Station Center for the Arts. Saturday’s topics will feature Chocolate and Wine, an adventurous pairing seminar where the flavors, subtle nuances and characteristics of several different wines and chocolates will be explored.The afternoon seminar, Great Summer Wines for Any Occasion, will look beyond crisp and fruity whites, finding great wines for any summer event, including pairings with classic summer dishes and off-the-grill favorites. Sunday will begin in style withChampagne on a Sunday Morn, an exploration into the various styles, methods and regions of sparkling wines from France.Sunday afternoon will dive into a particular wine-producing region with Give Me a Home Where the Buffalo Rhone!, where attendees will look beyond the region’s famous Sryah, enjoying amazing red wines, but learning about the world class white wines produced there as well. The weekend seminars, each just $25 per person, will leave attendees with new knowledge to be shared and enjoyed.  
 
Beyond enjoying the serene and elegant event festivities, guests looking for a weekend retreat can also indulge in summer spa specials at Keystone’s Lodge and Spa.
