Keystone Resort Celebrates Valentine's Day with "Love on the Lifts" Gondola Speed Dating, a Singles Party and Plenty of Romantic Options for Couples
KEYSTONE, Colo. — Feb. 12, 2013—Keystone Resort is making sure that singles also enjoy Valentine’s Day fun this year with the introduction of “Love on the Lifts” gondola speed dating. Singles can jump on an 11-minute gondola speed date, with the chance to reconnect that evening at a Valentine’s Day party hosted at 9280’ Tap House. The dating fun gets started at 10:00a.m. at the River Run gondola. A “single, singles” line will be set up, playing on the industry norm of a singles line at lifts for those skiing or riding alone. Participants will be paired up with another snow enthusiast for the 11-minute ride to the top of Dercum Mountain, and the resort will be providing a rose and a tasty chocolate treat for each “gondola date”.

Once they arrive at the summit of Dercum Mountain, participants can choose to continue the date by skiing/riding Keystone’s nearly 3000 acres of open terrain, which has seen 8” of natural snowfall in the last week. The moment can also be marked with a photo from Keystone’s EpicPhoto team, which will also allow daters to reconnect on social media with EpicMix technology. For those that want to reconnect later in the day, Keystone’s signature après spot, 9280’ Tap House in River Run Village, will host a party from 4:00p.m.-7:00 p.m.

Keystone’s partners are also sharing the love, with Keystone Sports offering 50% off demo ski and snowboard rentals on Valentine’s Day. Skiers and riders can fall in love with the latest technology while enjoying Keystone’s diverse terrain offerings, which include long groomers, bumps and trees and the award-winning A51 Terrain Park. The resort’s $5 Outback cat shuttle is also open with convenient access to powder-filled bowl skiing. Skiers and riders can take advantage of the 50% offer at any Keystone Sports location, or reserve equipment at least 24 hours in advance online at rentskis.com/myvalentine.

For those that have already found love, Keystone Resort offers plenty of ways to celebrate this Valentine’s Day. Whether it is a romantic dinner at The Alpenglow Stube or Der Fondue Chessel, a special Chandon Sparkling Flight Tasting at The Ski Tip, voted best place for a date, proposal or anniversary celebration in Summit County, or the very special Champagne and Chocolate Indulgence treatment at the Keystone Spa, including a 50-minute customized massage, facial and pedicure, all enjoyed with a glass of champagne and decadent chocolate truffle, Keystone has romantic options for every style and budget.

Resort lodging deals for Valentine’s Day include Keystone’s Play for Free package, starting at just $219, which includes free night skiing on day of arrival, free Nordic trail fee and free ice rink admission. For families wanting to spend the holiday together, Keystone continues to offer Kids Ski Free, with no blackout dates or restrictions, with all kids 12 and under skiing free when staying two or more nights in Keystone owned/operated accommodations.
