Mother Nature Delights Beaver Creek Skiers with 8 Inches of Fresh Snow Overnight; Spring Breakers Should Book Now
Beaver Creek, Colo., Feb. 7, 2013— Mother Nature demonstrated the element of surprise delivering 8 inches of fluffy fresh snow at Beaver Creek overnight and then cleared the skies for a bluebird powder morning, much to the delight of skiers and snowboarders.  The latest winter storm follows a wintery storm cycle at the end of January and the weekend forecast is calling for more snow in the Colorado Rockies.

Celebrate America’s history with Beaver Creek President’s Day weekend, Feb. 15-18, 2013. Featuring American characters, parades, ice sculptures, performances and activities, the village comes to life to celebrate our nation’s history in one of the most spectacular winter settings in the country. New this year, a Fire & Ice sculpture competition will feature six of the country’s top ice sculptors who will carve American icons throughout the village. The popular President-For-A-Day Facebook contest returns for kids ages 14 and under. Parents can post on Beaver Creek’s Facebook page why their child should be president of Beaver Creek. 10th Annual Talons Challenge

Test your mettle at the 10th Annual Talons Challenge March 2, 2013 by skiing or riding 14 of Beaver Creek’s steepest and bumpiest black diamond and double black diamond runs on the legendary World Cup Birds of Prey downhill course, Grouse Mountain, and on the flanks of Larkspur Bowl. Ski Girls Rock
Ski Girls Rock, a program inspired by Olympic and World Alpine Champion Lindsey Vonn, expandedto Beaver Creek this year providing girls from ages 7 to 16 with female instructors who focus on skill improvement, empowerment through the sport,confidence boosting opportunities, and development ofteamwork and social skills. Groups consist of a maximum four girls. The program takes place Feb. 16-22, 2013; and March 10-31, 2013. The cost is $320 per day for the lesson only or $340 per day for the lesson and lift ticket.
