Each race begins at 11 a.m. and will feature a slope-side sponsor expo and a post-event party will be held for all participants to enjoy a variety of giveaways and a post-race meal provided by the Dusty Boot Steakhouse and Saloon. Limited free demo and rental snowshoes are available at the races as long as supplies last. These snowshoe races are made possible by Beaver Creek Resort, the Beaver Creek Resort Company, Nature Valley, Atlas Snowshoes , East West Resorts, The Dusty Boot and the Metropolitan.
This series has evolved over the last 15 years to become one of the largest and longest running snowshoe races in the country. This season, the Feb. 3 race will act as a regional qualifier for the United States Snowshoe Association championships. Anyone interested in qualifying can register as a member through USSSA at www.snowshoeracing.com and have their time from this race used to gain entry into the National Championships in Bend, OR from March 15 through 17, 2013.
