Breckenridge Announces Roster for Resort’s Pro Team for 2012/13 Season

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. — Dec. 5, 2012 —Breckenridge Ski Resorttoday announced the roster for the resort’s professional freeride team for the 2012 /13 season.
The Breck Pro Team is an elite cadre of 26 ski and snowboard professionals and amateurs, both male and female, sponsored by Breck, who represent the resort and community with professionalism and heart at competitions world-wide.
The Breck Pro Team is recognized as the top resort team in the ski industry today, comprised of some of the most exciting young talent in action sports from around the world.
This year’s team features athletes from 5 different countries, 15 Coloradans, and 7 hometown heroes who were born and raised in Breckenridge, who now will all call Breck their hometown.
Returning athletes to the roster this year include three-time X Games gold medalist Bobby Brown, top AFP overall world raking athletes Anna Segal and Keri Herman, former Olympic bronze medalist JJ Thomas, and Summit County native Eric Willett.
New to the team this year are athletes like the United Kingdom’s freeski big air and slopestyle star James Woods and 2012 Youth Olympic halfpipe and slopestyle silver medalist Arielle Gold.
“Being on the Breck Freeride Team means I have my home mountain as my backbone of support through my career,” said Breck Pro Team rider Eric Willett.
“Breck is the mountain where I train, learn new tricks, and compete in competitions. Athletes from all over the world come to Breck to train every year; it’s definitely a privilege to have the best park in the world in my back yard. I was born and raised, started my career, married my wife – all here at Breck. Needless to say, I could not be more honored to be a part of the Breck Pro Team.”
