Noel Nights – Dec. 6, 13 & 20
On December 6 at 6:30 p.m., InnerRhythms Dance Centre from Truckee helps kicks off Noel Nights with a performance just before the tree lighting ceremony at 7:30 p.m.
Each Thursday evening leading up to Christmas, the Great Basin Carolers will sing throughout the Village at Northstar where families can gather near the 35-foot Christmas tree with complimentary s’mores and hot chocolate around the fire pits. Guests can also enjoy horse-drawn sleigh rides, face painting, cupcake decorating, holiday crafts, ornament painting and several drink specials to ring in the holiday cheer. EpicMix photographers will also be available to help snap pictures with Santa from 6-8 p.m.
Holiday Festivities – Dec. 21 – 24
Visitors can enjoy live music from 2-5 p.m. daily in the Village at Northstar, weather permitting. Santa will make appearances in different locations throughout the village from 12-2:30 p.m. and will ski on Christmas Eve, visiting the Big Springs Day Lodge and Zephyr Lodge throughout the day.
Interdenominational Worship Services will be held at the top of Vista Express chair on Sunday, December 23 at 2 p.m. (lift ticket required), and a Candlelight Service will be held in the Village Conference Rooms on December 24 at 4 p.m. that is open to the public.
New Year’s Eve at Northstar – Dec. 31
Guests of every age can ring in the New Year in the Village at Northstar this year. The Annual Fire and Ice Celebration welcomes 2013 with a fireworks show, drink specials, a dayside DJ at the ice rink, Bon Jovi tribute band and much more. The resort’s kid friendly New Year’s Eve Party gets the ball rolling with craft making at 6 p.m. for the younger crowds just after the Ripperoo Parade in the Village.
3-2-1 Countdown to December
Those who want to take advantage of the early season snowfall are invited to book the 3-2-1 Countdown to December package and receive three nights lodging, two days of skiing/riding and a $50 resort gift card for the group with each package booked. This offer is valid daily from December 1-24, 2012 starting at $89 per person, per night. Some restrictions apply.
