Junior Trade in Program —Gear That ‘Grows’ with Youth
The best seasonal ski and snowboard rental deal in California for juniors is at any mountain -- $60/year after the first year

Berkeley, Calif., Sept. 21, 2012—The Junior Trade In program has been going strong in California for six years and was designed for skiing and riding families to keep their growing kids in annually updated equipment at a budget-friendly price. Junior Trade In is available for California kids at all eight Any Mountain store locations throughout the Bay Area including Corte Madera, Redwood City, Concord, San Jose, Dublin, Berkeley, Fremont, and the newest location in Roseville.

This uniquely affordable ski rental program was created to insure that children’s equipment is as modestly priced as possible. A complete set of used equipment including skis, boots and bindings is available for $109.99 for the first year of participation in Junior Trade In and includes the $10 mandatory binding check. After the first season’s use, the cost for a complete package drops 50 percent--to $59.98 per year. While supplies last, equipment can be exchanged as often as needed during the season to make sure the size and fit remains comfortable—at no additional cost. Each year, kids return their gear and then get a refit into a different set of used equipment for the upcoming season. The deal remains in effect for as long as the child continues to participate in the Any Mountain Junior Trade In program.

Junior Trade In is also available on new equipment with packages starting at $229.99 for the first year and that includes a $15 adjustment fee.  Return it the next season and receive a 50 percent discount towards another new junior package—for $122.50 per year including the mandatory adjustment.   Kids can also keep their equipment for an additional season and return it after two seasons for a 30 percent discount towards another new junior equipment package.

Similar deals are available for snowboarders priced at $109.99 for used equipment and $229.99 for new equipment and includes a full snowboard setup with boots, bindings, and deck.  For Year 2 and beyond, the price is $59.98 for used and $114.99 for a new snowboard set up each year.

For both skis and snowboards, the 50 percent discount goes into effect the second year of rentals.

“The Junior Trade In program has been used and appreciated by thousands of California families because of the convenience for families of having ski or snowboard equipment all season long at an outstanding price,” explains Bruno Gotzmer, regional manager for the Any Mountain stores.  “The affordability and flexibility of this program assures parents that their children are on the right-sized equipment year-after-year at a great price,” he added.

Junior Trade In is currently going on at all Any Mountain locations with full inventory.  For the best selection, families are encouraged to get their children fitted before the holiday season for the largest inventory and options. For more information, go to www.anymountain.net.
