Concert gates open at 5:00 p.m. and food and beverage will be available for purchase. The J Walkers take center stage from 6-7:30 p.m. followed by Jerry Jeff Walker who will play from 8-9:30 p.m. As one of the most well-respected legends of the internationally famous Austin musical community, Jerry Jeff Walker took a true troubadour’s path to where he is today. His latest album, Gonzo Stew, (his 30th album overall) was released in
2001.
“Beaver Creek is excited to host its annual Fourth of July celebration with the musical talents of Jerry Jeff Walker,” said Tim Baker, executive director of Beaver Creek Resort Company. “However, as a result of persistent drought conditions across the state and dry fuels on our mountain and hillsides, Beaver Creek Resort will not be concluding its annual Fourth celebration concert with fireworks, as is typically the tradition. All other components of Beaver Creek’s annual Fourth of July celebration will continue as planned.”
Beano’s Cabin hosts its annual Fourth festivities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring a low country style clambake. Chef Bill Greenwood’s menu highlights include Louisiana boiled crawfish, New England steamer clams, Berkshire sausage, smoked wild boar spare ribs and more. Kids can enjoy mac’ n’ cheese and chicken fingers. The cost is $55 for adults, $25 for kids 6-12 and kids 5 and under dine for free. Live entertainment and classic lawn games also will be available. Reservations should be made in advance by calling 970-754-3463.
During the day, explore other outdoor activities at Beaver Creek including scenic chairlift rides, hiking, mountain biking, golf, horseback riding and more. Early evening head to the beach front lawn for live music and food and beverages to top off this celebration for all ages.
