Northstar California™ Resort Golf Course Opening Friday, May 18
Course Offers Tahoe’s Best Resort Golf Experience, Earliest Twilight Golf, Instruction Programs and Group Options

TRUCKEE, Calif. – May 16, 2012 – Offering the best resort golf experience in Tahoe, Northstar will open all 18 holes of the golf course for play on Friday, May 18. The driving range, pro shop, Martis Valley Grille and instruction programs are already accessible to those interested in teeing it up in the mountains.

Offering two distinct nines, the Northstar golf course appeals to the senses and will challenge golfers of every level. Through June 28, golfers are invited to play all 18 holes for just $60 per person, or $40 after 1 p.m. Greens fees include use of a shared cart. During the summer season, greens fees are just $80 per person, with twilight rates (after 1 p.m.) priced at just $60. Early Birdie and afternoon rates are also available for those interested in playing just nine holes or after 4 p.m. (some restrictions apply).
 
Golf 3-Paks are one of the most affordable ways to get out on the course this season. For less than $57 per round, the 3-Pak includes 18-holes and use of a shared cart. When compared to the greens fees at other North Shore resort courses, Northstar’s 3-Pak is an obvious choice for resort play value.

• The Limited Pass available for $329, includes Monday - Thursday play only. Limited play after 12:00 p.m. in the Spring season, after 3:00 p.m. in the Summer season (excludes July 4 - 7), and 10:30 a.m. shotgun starts only during the Fall season.
• For $499 The Afternoon Pass includes play after 12:00 p.m. during the Spring season, play after 3:00 p.m. during the Summer season (excludes July 4 - 7), and 10:30 a.m. shotgun starts only during the Fall season.
• The Value Pass, our most popular deal, is available for $699 offering unlimited play during the Spring and Fall seasons, limited play after 12:00 p.m. on Sunday - Thursday and after 2:00 p.m. Friday - Saturday during the Summer season (excludes July 4 - 7, 2012).
• The Unlimited Pass includes unlimited play during the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons for $999.
 
For those interested in improving their game, personalized golf instruction will be offered throughout the season by Northstar’s golf pros. Private instruction is offered by the half hour and hour, as well as weekly group clinics that run June 12 through August 2012. Group clinics are priced between $20-40 per person and include Adult Full Swing, Adult Short Game, Women’s Full Swing, Women’s Short Game, a Family Clinic and a Juniors Clinic for ages 12 and under. Reservations are not required, and space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
New this summer, Northstar is offering a group golf “PAR-TEE” package priced at just $51 per person from opening through June 28, and $71 per person from June 29 through September 16. This offer is valid Sunday through Friday after 12 p.m. and includes either nine or 18 holes of golf, a warm up bucket of balls, use of a shared cart, on course contests, a beer/wine coupon or $5 retail coupon, $17 lunch voucher and a personal event planner.
 
Visitors can Stay & Golf Free with the resort’s special summer lodging package, which includes one night of accommodations and one round of golf with a shared cart for play after 12:20 p.m. This offer starts at $75 per person, per night based on a two-night minimum stay and double occupancy. Golfers are also invited to purchase their golf season pass by June 28 to receive two 50 percent off vouchers for friends and family.
 
Designed by Robert Muir Graves, the Northstar golf course is a vibrant and exciting course with features that create a flow of movement that seamlessly moves in and over the natural terrain. The meadow nine (holes 1-9) opens to a links-style course, while the mountain nine (holes 10-18) demands precise shots to narrow fairways and smallish greens. Playing up to 6,781 yards, the Northstar golf course offers four tee locations and carries a rating of 72.4 from the Northern California Golf Association.
