Breckenridge Continues the Season with 22 Inches Falling This Past Week

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. —April 20, 2012 — Wishes do come true in Breckenridge, as Breckenridge Ski Patrol reported 5 inches of new snow this morning, just in time for Breck's 50th season extension. The ski area has received 22 inches of spring snow in the past 7 days.
 
Breckenridge has opened 4 lifts, one carpet and 834 acres of terrain at Peak 8 only, including the Imperial Express SuperChair, two additional weekends, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 20-22 and April 27-29, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day.
 
 In addition, the resort will have a special 50th season extension day ticket price of $50 for those without passes and free parking in the gondola lots.
 
Additional services for Breck’s guests during the extension include special lesson prices, with half-day adult lessons starting at $59 and full-day children’s lessons for $99. Breck Sports is also hosting a tent sale on the snow at Peak 8 during these six days of the extended season, and will have over 100 different pairs of demo skis available at incredible prices.

Breckenridge Ski Resort requires all skiers and riders to observe all posted signs and warnings. Closed trails may contain hazards due to limited natural snow coverage and spring conditions.
