highlight Spring Fever’s Final Weekend.
FRIDAY, APRIL 13:
Presented by Freeskier and Snowboard Magazine, the popular 5 ‘til 5 terrain park event is back! 5 ‘til 5 lets park riders cruise Breck’s Park Lane Terrain Park until 5 p.m., with both the 5 Chair and the Colorado SuperChair operating one extra hours on Fridays during Spring Fever. 5 ‘til 5 will also have free food, beverages, live music from DJ DC, giveaways and jam style contests. Prizes include gear from various ski and snowboard companies, Maui Jim, Rockstar, season passes and other great prizes, including this Friday one lucky guest will win a year’s supply of Mountain Dew!
The TBar après bar at the base of Peak 8 will be offering $4 Bud, Bud Light and Breck 50th Anniversary Ale specials from 2 p.m. – close every Friday during Spring Fever. This Friday, DJ Kirbatron will be spinning tunes live!
This year marks the 21st annual Imperial Challenge. This race warms up with a 6.2 mile mountain bike ride from the Town of Breckenridge across Peak 7 to Peak 8, followed by a 2,500 foot ascent of Peak 8 to the top of the Imperial Bowl on the equipment of your choice. As your quadriceps quiver from oxygen deprivation and lactic acid build up, begin your descent to the base of Peak 8 on skis or a snowboard. An hour and forty-five minutes could win; two hours would be a great time!
